No problem.....I'll keep you guys posted on the progress.

I'll have to figure out what external things like connectors and pretty lacey things I'll include, but without a doubt people will have to provide wires. I'll probably provide the connectors and crimp pins to attach to your wires to.

And to address the additional USB requirements questions. There will be no need for more USB port power since the power will be provided to the device by the battery connection. I may include a Jumper for the option of hooking up to it while its out of your car. And Yes, you will need to use a USB port for it to communicate with the computer.

Even though I have a dssc and OPTCZR is sending me parts, I'd still be interested in your final build.

Let us know when you come up with a price for the "all the bells and whistles one"!

Cheers

BJ

Well, I got USB communication with my SDC today. I can send and receive relevant data to and from the computer. Now it's down to getting all of the programming particulars in line and we are set. Either way I'll make it so you can update the firmware via USB if there are any bugs or any upgrades. That way you can change the sequencing and onewire settings.

It's fun to make everything seem so easy....

Yeah, I'm making some pretty decent progress. I just got back from a 4 day long business trip. And I've been stuck doing some other work late for my job. I'm working on making this thing ultra customizable so one can suit it to a wide range of needs. Like setting up each relay, sequencing, time delays. Actuating by ACC, button, or pulse from door unlock. One-wire device flexibility. Voltage monitoring. All customizable from either LCD char screen or computer UI.

I'm working on limited free time, so please stand by.....

Wow.

Sounds impressive.

Can't wait.

Don't neglect the rug rat for time to work on this though! Kids are way more important than the "cool factor".

Cheers

Alright, here are a few pictures of the controller. Only 251 holes!!! Now I need to focus on the firmware and software.
