Unhappy Does anyone in AUS have the coilcraft components???

I live pretty much in melbourne, but still find it difficult to gain access to coilcraft samples, and if I call the Australian stockists and offer to pay they seem really helpful on the phone and ask me to email them my details but then do nothing...

Does anyone here in Australia have the coilcraft components available for sale or for exchange for other parts etc.

I am only interested in the coilcraft components nothing else, not an entire kit, just the coilcraft components. If you can gain access to free samples do so, then sell them to me so long as the price is reasonable...

Coilcraft is SHI#*TING me so much, I'd much prefer them to tell me to FU#* OFF on the phone than be screwed around by them. If they don't want to sell me the components then they should tell me so and I'd move to somthing else...

Any how, whatever help, parts, contacts and suggestions that will work today (not 10 months ago) would be VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY much appreciated.

You would be a life saver!!!

Thankyou in advance!!!

Yeah, I was but rlised I still needed a 10uH inductor and figured that since more people had built the sproggy PS then I'd go with what the majority seems to be better. The output power also has a better amperage rating, can be built to have the power delay and has a pre-designed PCB with photo's of its design.

Why do you ask? Hows your power supply performing? What are you using?

Still, being all the way over there doesn't solve my problems though.

I STILL REQUIRE COILCRAFT COMPONENTS... ANYONE PLEASE HELP!!!

I am using the Maxim design PSU, I just knocked up 12v and 5v on a bit of breadboard. Its working great (now I have sorted the power good problem ) and it saved me trying to obtain difficult to get parts.

Odin, whereabouts in Australia are they located? Sydney?

If you were to forward me their details about what you need, and where they are, I'll see if I can pop into where ever they are, if it's possible...

Would that help?

Thanks for the offer, but from what I could find on the Coilcraft website it appears that the only distributer here in Australia is:

Tri Components Pty. Ltd.
Unit 1, 32 Miles Street
Mulgrave 3170
Marguerite Cordell
+613/9560 2112
Fax +613/9560 6354
E-mail tricom@tricomponents.com.au
Web www.tricomponents.com.au

I have phoned, emailed, faxed these guys from 3 email address using different names and addresses, I have sent emails from my sudent email address requesting parts that I'd pay for. I have sent emails from ohter email addresses. BUT all to have no luck. I've tried the truth and making stuff up...

Im lost unless I can gain access to the parts, I don't know what to do???

If only Farnell or Jaycar delt with Coilcraft, everyone's problems would be solved, not to mention Farnell/Jaycar making a small fortune doing it...

ANYONE PLEASE HELP!!!

Tricomponents really suck. Getting help out of them is like trying to draw blood from a stone. I had to send 3 emails just to get a response.

I'm with pcman, try renco, they sent me free samples, i just forgot to order the 10uh ones. I got the 47uh and the t6 tranny from them no probs.

Yeah, PCMAN, I'll definately be up for the T6 if that's still ok?

And as for ordering from Renco, did you both order directly from the US site or another sales rep (ie. location)?

What did they ask of you, details about the supposed company?, Number of units to be sold etc? When it comes to filling out things like that I get stuck so any help would be really appreciated.

What was the delivery time, when did you order, and how many parts were you able to sample? As I would like spares incase I burn out one or two

I only ask as I don't want to stuff this up, it seems to be my last choice!

PCMAN my email address is: odin836@hotmail.com
Can you please email me so we can work somthing out for the T6.

Thanks again.

I await your responss in the forum and via email eagerly.

Odin
