acpi pwron to the motherboard... Where do I connect it to?

Hi,

I've read lots of threads and searched but I can't seem to find an answer. Maybe because it's too simple a question? I've got a carnetix power supply. It states that for it to put your computer into hibernation when you take the key out, you need to connect the acpi and pwron to the motherboard. I've looked at my motherboard and I can't find anything like the motherboard they showed the example on with where to connect it to. What else or where should I be looking?

And as I'm asking.... though I admit I haven't searched for this yet. The dlyon, how or where am I supposed to get an initial input from? I'm not using a car stereo so can't use that?

Many thanks,

Daniel

It is the same place that the power switch that the computer originally had, connects to. You would be well advised to actually give us information in the future, like what MB you have.

Sorry, I don't know what motherboard it is, I can't find any markings and would like to know if possible. I'm sure I must seem stupid but where do I connect the wires? "It is the same place that the power switch that the computer originally had" Do I connect it to the computer switch then? I've attached some pictures which hopefully may help. Thanks for your help with this and apologies for being a newbie!

ps Took ages to resize those beeping photos! I love computers.......

Here is the problem. Asking this question is similar to asking "where do I put the key in the car to start it". See, you have to put it in the ignition switch, the problem is, that cars have them in different places. Porsche, in some cars, has the dwitch on the left of the steering wheel on the dash. Some cars have them on the right in the dash, others on the right on the steering column, and the saab puts them between the front seats. Since we, and you, don't know the maker of the board, there is no way to know. You can look on the board for some markings that say RST, or PWR, or something like that, but anything more is basically impossible to say.

As for the power switch, you would remove the switch and connect the wires from the PS to where the switch USED to be. I guess you could somehow have both, but the M2 has a place on the PS for a power switch.
