New Version!

  1. New Icon
  2. Voice Conformation
  3. Launch a program as conformation

Yeh, so this is the new version. And yeh, I know that there's a lot of stuff in the INI file

How to get it to launch programs: create a new entree in the XML file under names. Go and edit the INI file now. Its pretty easy to figure out IMO.

Included Apps: Beep
Play file
Voice Navigation

I did this too, it cleaned them up a bit, not nothing close to a new one. For some reason my car has 1 100% clean highbeam, so the other 3 lights look yellow in comparison even when cleaned

Oh yeh, be sure to post bugs

That's the format with the SAPI... go figure. Looks like microsoft didn't want to abide by their own standard

Yeh-yeh-yeh... bring it on!

BTW, had a few pobs with the last build - I had to change a few of the file locations in your .ini file. Maybe you could stick all the files in the program dir.

here are the lines I had to edit:

program_name6=c:\Program Files\VoiceNav\dpsbeep.exe
program_name7=c:\Program Files\VoiceNav\playfile.exe

program_params7=:\Program Files\VoiceNav\Untitled.mp3

FYI, here are my settings for use with IG:

[settings]
:file=c:\program files\deluo\routis\routis.exe
:startin=c:\program files\deluo\routis
:title=Routis
:voice=1

file=c:\Program Files\iNav\iGuidance\iGuidance.exe
startin=c:\Program Files\iNav\iGuidance
title=iGuidance
voice=1

Yeh, you have to edit the INI file for everything. The INI and the files are in seperate directories on my computer, and they will always be different when you install it on another one.

BTW: program_params7=:\Program Files\VoiceNav\Untitled.mp3 - you have to use the exact format as I used in the original INI file for the parameter names '"<file>"'.

This is the latest one. I think its the one you're using - the one that can open programs and have voice conformation.

Thanks I want to get done with the main app first, and then a config utility. This is because when I change something in the structure of my app then I will have to toally rewrite the config app (waste of time). Plus, its not like you use the config app every time you open up the program

How about a temporary "mute mic function". Sometimes I'll have the mic on and while i'm talking to someone in my car, or if my radio is playing, RoutisVoice will do some random command. If possible, make a pVal="navigation microphone off"..although it shouldnt actually mute the mic, it should now only accept the command pVal="Navigation microphone on" and the icon can change. This way, if you know you won't be using the mic for a while you can stop it from accepting accidental commands.

What do you think? Maybe I'm the only one getting accidental commands entered..

also, check to see if RoutisVoice is handling playfile.exe correctly. I just checked tast manager and found 7 processes of playfile.exe running. Perhaps RoutisVoice.exe is not terminating it correctly.
