Question What micrphones are you guys using with this?

For the in car applications, are you using a standalone microphone, or a headset?

If you using a stand alone microphone, which one are you using? I wanna find a good one too use.

I am using the base model Logitech mic, not the USB model but the model with the 1/8" plug.

I'm using a Logitech 1/8" noise-canceling MIC. Cost me $20. And it has an off switch too, but NaviVoice has a soft-off switch.

Its currently on my desk. But another member installed it into his A-pillar.

how long is the cord? I'm thinking of hiding the wire all the way from my glovebox to rearview mirror.

I'm trying to get my hands on the Nokia HFM-8. I can't find it locally. A friend of mine has it working great in his car. It's made for the hands free kit, but it can be used with a computer--plus it looks factory. Here's a pic: linky

Doesn't look stock to me. The best place for a MIC is closest to your mouth.

Maybe you could hack that MIC to a 1/8" jack?
