thanks for your work

Well, Boris is easy to change... just search for it in the XML file and replace it with whatever you like. There's only one instance of it.
One word of warning: the shorter the activation code, the more likely it is to start responding to your voice when you don't intend it to.
For the next version I'll have 2 or more SAPIs. One will be just for the activation command. The other's recognition will be disabled until enabled by the first one.

this is more complicated than i thought. After atleast 3 hours of messing around with navivoice i have been able to open up notepad.
Only thing i can get navivoice to do consistently is say "listening" after i say boris.
I have tried to SEARCH but advice is very scattered and not really out there. Either not many people use this with success, or use it at all or everyone has figured out how to use it the first time.
All i want to do is be able to do simple things like open frodoplayer, once inside switch songs or search for them and open gps. Also operate volume functions. I have already trained speech recognition using 3 different sessions.
I am not a programmer but with instructions i can get around.

Just use the INI file that was included with the release. It can open notepad. About FP: change
"program_name406_FP=C:\Program Files\FrodoPlayer\FrodoPlayer.EXE"
to
"program_name406=C:\Program Files\FrodoPlayer\FrodoPlayer.EXE"
You can't search for songs in FP just yet. Its not a limitation of NaviVoice, but a limitation of FP. It will be fixed in the next release of FP.

i have not tried this with RR, but hope to do so soon.
But PLEASE chang the name already to something else because I ignored navivoice for a long time thinking it was, u know, what the name suggests as in NAVI VOICE. If I knew it did lots of stuff i would have downloaded a lot sooner

Yeh, the problem is coming up with a name that reflects all of NaviVoice's functionality

cmon it can't be that hard, anything that suggests VOICE and CONTROL would do it
if the title of the thread was VOICE CONTROL or something like that, I would have clicked it the first day i saw this site...
also, you should put something under the name like the other threads do as in "zorro 's PhoneControl - control your mobile phone via Bluetooth or cable"
yours is just blank.........

 I guess people here do judge a book, or a program, by its name
I'm still deciding on a name. I'll have to think of something before. A suggestion here was "carmunicator"... but I don't want to offend anyone cuz it sounds too much like terminator

Yeh, but it was originally made for Routis, when it was called RoutisVoice. When I added iGudiance support, I changed the name to NaviVoice

wow very interesting. I've been struggling with the control aspect of my car PC. I had planned on using a little home-built infrared receiver and a tiny remote. I'll look into this program. I plan on using meedio, do you know if they will play well together?

Not sure
Does meedio have hotkeys?

This thread reminds me of the previous company I worked at (a dot-com startup).
More than 50% of the time it took us to set up and configure new servers that came in
was spend on coming up with a cool host name for it!!
