I need help with pycar on a test system

I downloaded and installed the pycar iso (the f version). I'm trying to configure my os on one of the systems in my home while I await the hardware I will be running on in my car.

The problem I am having is that I see it load the image then the screen goes blank. The cd acts like its still loading (lots of flashing and stuff from it). Is there a way to boot this on a regular system or is it made specificly for car monitors?

From the Pycar web site:

I'm happy to announce the PyCar 1.3.0.2 for EPIA-M.

I beleive the important part is the last word there. The ISO currently only runs on the EPIA-M boards. Now if you do have an EPIA M board and you still cant get a display, you've been bitten by the 1.16 BIOS upgrade, flash back to 1.14 and all will be okay.

Doh. I'm an idiot. I guess I have to get my board before I actualy install it. I was hoping to get a jump on setting it up.

You could just download and install the tar file on a regular linux system. I got that working on a non-epia system.

Oh yeah. There are.
Here's in short:
1. iPod integration with many features it provides (playlists, meta db etc)
2. Car stereo integration
3. DVD playback

It is been in unit testing right now, I will release a version for beta testing in mid Sep. So, stay tuned
