whooo hooo, found the ALT key....so you can alt-tab between applications...
so far it is working great on my work computer... got a stuck '3' key, but it just doesn't have the tactile click, other than that the key works OK.
Mouse touch pad is pretty hyper, but I haven't installed the logitech software yet to tone it down... right out of the box though it is working very nicely. Will launch default browser and default music player, but haven't got the transport keys to work yet. System volume works good, as do the page up page down, and D-pad in the playlist.
It will put your computer in standby and bring it out of standby nicely. The center of the D-pad is also a left click which is cool.
So it is looking like no Function keys (F1, F2, F3 etc.) are possible, and I will report back with any further limitations. It would be cool if you could at least hit FUN-ALT-4 for "F4", but it doesn't seem to work that way.

I was able to work the keyboard just fine on my Car PC, first with the included dongle, then with my Linksys dongle. You have to set up a password with the third party dongle, but just type in a code on the Logitech when windows asks for it in the BT setup. Don't forget to hit the red button on the back so the keyboard becomes discoverable. I of course needed two keyboards to get it set up before the link was completed.
So far, no go in getting into BIOS with this keyboard, you will have to have a USB or PS/2 keyboard direct hookup for that.
I was also able to program the 'web browser' button to perform the key command 'ALT-F4' so now I can easily close programs...(don't need direct access to Firefox that bad).
ALT-TAB works great of course for switching between progs.
Turning down the touchpad speed in the Logitech config SetPoint software made the touch pad 200% more usable. I left acceleration set to low.
Getting proper cursor focus when in D-PAD mode can be tricky, haven't quite figured it out yet. Once it is on the right focused item there is no probs.
Got the music hot-button programmed for Xtreme PCR XM software, and it works great - DPAD mode scrolls nice, and the page up/down buttons are perfect. Click the center of the DPAD or the OK (left mouse click) button to select a new channel.
I know most of you guys use a front end but I haven't gotton the balls to install one yet, maybe when I re-install Vista as a 32 bit version I will give a front end a try. But, as much as I hate Media Center, this keyboard works great for it. I just wish I could re-program that hot key button for something more useful to me.
You can change the function of the power hot key button, but only between standby, power, hibernate etc.... it can't be universally programmed like the Music and Internet hot key buttons.
Easier to type text than a full keyboarded smart phone, but not by much.
The keyboard seems plenty robust, although the back door could have been engineered a little more bullet proof. I worry about breaking off little tabs etc... but hopefully won't have to take it off much now that I have paired it and it is all set to go.
This thing matches the decor of my RX-8 interior perfect! Black piano laquer and brushed silver....nice....even perfectly fits over the cup holder area width-wise... nice.
Happy so far.
-C

not sure what sys brd you have...but can you change the "setup key" in your bios to "delete", since you have no function keys.
I can get into bios just fine with my wireless ps3 thumbpad....just a thought. btw that keyboard is pretty slick.

The key itself is not important (although I have never seen a BIOS that allows switching of which key gets you in - that'd be cool) but the problem is that you don't get any bluetooth connectivity until Windows is fully loaded, so it doesn't receive the BIOS trigger key in time.
I have gotton into a windows reboot menu after a crash, and the keyboard did work, but I still don't think most motherboards will work with this keyboard as far as getting into BIOS.

typing on mine right now. Im having trouble getting it to pair with the carputer blue solei bluetooth, but i just got it paired with my targus bluetooth on my laptop. works nice, dpad works well without logitech software. One nice feature i havent seen mentioned yet is that it will control windows media player. i.e. the play and skip track buttons. Which is nice since i use streetdeck. Haven't tried it in the car yet, but i'll report back when i do.

Mine just arrived! Time to get it configured, and working. My wife will thank me when she doesn't have to reach for the keyboard anymore...

Finding that it lags a little bit, and takes a second or two to come back to life sometimes, in all, not as sure fire as my old USB wireless keyboard, but then again, I am using a Linksys dongle, and not the included one... but I suppose I could try that for comparison.
It is not a huge problem though. I am still perplexed as to why they didn't illuminate the blue words as I seem to use those as much as anything else. Definitely consider using the logitech software to re-map your windows explorer hot key to ALT-F4 for example. You can also remap the music key too, mine is tied to XM PCR. Too bad there aren't any more mappable keys though. Also you are probably are going to want to adjust the sensitivity down on the mouse movement too.
