On the subject of booting before OS
I use a Microsoft Bluetooth keyboard and mouse with the supplied dongle, and can access bios fine as long as I press a key on the keyboard 1st and wait a sec or 2 to give it time to power on before switching pc on then press esc to get to bios, works fine every time (including the boot menu)
it doesnt work with by belkin dongle so now i use both, I hope this is the same with this, as ive just ordered one

Kind of a bummer that it puts out 8VDC, since I have 12VDC, and 5VDC in my car that is easy to tap into to charge the keyboard, but no 8VDC, and I'm kind of hesitant with just using a straight voltage regulator, as 12VDC to 8VDC might generate a bit of heat.

I don't know why everyone wants to charge it in the car. Sure it's convenient. But I charged mine first when I got it. I've been using it for almost two months now and haven't had to charge it yet. The specs say it's good for a month. So once every 30 days you bring it in the house and charge it overnight.

Yep, my hands are quite big too, but I just luv this little keyboard - picked it up Down Under for around Aud $140-, so all-in-all not a bad price!
Now I need to find a nice neoprene sleeve for it......

Got mine yesterday. It's so nice and works so well, I'm going to have a hard time keeping it in the car and not on my coffee table controlling my media pc.

I got a demo unit from the MP3Store to check out. It is a REALLY slick little keyboard! The size, the clamshell cover, and back lighting make it just perfect for the CarPC! The its a perfect little "thumbs" keyboard. Very responsive, and actually can type pretty quick on it.
The Mp4Car store is planning to stock these keyboards soon as far as I know.
This image gives a good idea of just how nice and compact it really is:
