Person Needed to Review A Headrest Monitor for the Store

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a tech savvy someone to test a new headrest monitor for us. We’ve spent a bit of time playing around with it here in the office, but we would like someone who would be willing to put it to use in their car and see how it performs. It’s a bit large so someone with a larger car, truck, or SUV might appreciate it a bit more. It would also be nice to get feedback on fitment application, installation tips, and general aesthetics. Of course, documentation and pictures of the install and a computer running on it are important.

If you’re interested, please reply to this thread or send me a PM. Be sure to include why you think you should test the monitor and include reference to work you’ve done in the past (i.e. a thread on the mp3Car forums) with respect to product development, documentation, or reviews.

Also, please be willing to comply with a three week deadline for the detailed product review. As always, you can keep the product when you’re done with the review.

Here are the specs:

Innovatek HR-909VGA, Black Leather

Screen Size: 9”
Pixels> 800 x 600 x 3 (RGB) 1024 x 768 x 3 (RGB)

Color System: PAL/NTSC (automatic)
Resolution: Resolution (greater than or equal to) 500
S/N = (less than or equal to) 90dB
Isolation = (less than or equal to) 65dB
Playable discs: DVD, VCD, CD, MP3, MP4, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVCD, SVCD
Audio input/ output: 1.6V (plus or minus) 20%
Video input/ output: 1Vp-p(plus or minus) 20%
Power Supply: DC 12V
Power Consumption: (less than or equal to) 12W
Dimension: 320mm x 240mm x 125mm

What’s included: the unit, 2 tubes, program disc, user manual, VGA cable, USB cable, Audio Cable, Touch pen, PC audio line, AV signal line

I’ll hopefully be shipping the monitor to the most qualified person on Friday. Thanks and have a great day!

Stephen

Hi diggla,

Thanks for your interest. The headrest unit is already being tested by another forum member. However, we're always looking for well qualified new product testers on the forums. Keep a look out for these offerings and we'll keep you in mind.

Best,

Stephen

Any chance of producing them in custom colors? My FX is not really black, is charcoal (dark grey). Also my Sequoia is red rock (like a Porsche Cayenne, a bit orange looking), etc. Most of those things on e-bay are either black or generic grey, and neither fits my needs. Are you going to have a custom MNF or you're just reselling them?

Hi Rippling,

Thanks for your interest. We're working with our supplier to hopefully offer the unit without any sort of headrest at all, thereby letting one use the existing headrest, which would ensure the proper color match.

Thanks, Stephen. Not exactly what I was expecting. Not sure I have the skills to rip my headreast and make them look good, maybe I can find somebody to do it then.
