Does anyone make a turn OFF delay? I want to turn off the amps, but have an x-over stay on a bit longer before turning off to avoid a noise.

slightly old thread, but is this what you wanted ?

http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homep...tm#relay_i.gif

The Capacitor should keep the relay closed for a delay after the remote signal stops

works halfway.

I cant say this device is worth every penny for me...

The n66a only works for me when I crank the engine, BUT when I put the key on just "acc" position the pop is still there and the a66n delay doesnt kick in for some reason.

Still havent figured out this problem.

I know this thread is old but....
I had the same problem with that device, only in reverse.....
when I don't crank the engine I have a delay....when I do crank the engine, no delay at all. I contacted David and he suggested I put a 1000mfd 13VDC capcitor in parallel with the input line and ground. When I cranked the engine for the first time after installing the cap I didn't have a delay, but since then it seems to work.

In hindsight I wish I would have built my own delay...alot cheaper and probably would have worked better. Here's a good one:

Thanks...I may give that a try.
First I am going to try and wire in a Pulse trigger relay and see how that does.
I still can't get that David Navone piece of crap to work....
I thought it was working with the cap soldered in, but it only works properly for a couple of hours until the cap discahrges....
so if my car is not running for a couple of hours and I start it up, the amp turns on immediately.
I wouldn't reccomend that product to anyone.
Biggest waste of money (and time) yet!

Thanks.... I may try that solution yet.
The main reason I was posting in this thread was to let people know not to buy that David Navone Turn on delay.
It's a total waste of money! Some people on here have had luck with it,
but IMHO it's a POS
There are much better ways to accomplish what that device is supposed to do!

Most likely. Way too expensive for what it is. I built mine for free from parts I had in the garage.
