For any one intrested you can see some more install pics here. For my part I took the 'Steel me' badge off ( takes a little bit of presure form behind as its only stuck on ) and sprayed it with a matching dash paint. Looks very good.
Also I agree that with most of whats been said and I have been wondering if Mauris reverse swich would work with this unit... just looking for some one to build and send me one.

3) When opening the screen... popping it out is fine, nice strong spring, however, turning it up requires a lot more force than I would like to apply. When it pops out is is pretty much locked in a downward facing position and you have to unlock/unclick it. Another thing that makes this akward is that there is no good place to pull it up from. I find myself pulling on the 'frame' surrounding the lcd, i could see this causing breakage in the future. Maybe it will loosen up in time and turning it up will not require so much force.
I also noticed this issue with my 700H, and found a solution:
There are 2 "clips" on either side of the pivot point on the car side of the hinge. This is a little hard to explain. Anyway, on each of these clips there is a small philips screw. I removed both of these. The screws are also holding some kind of dust shield that prevents dust from getting inside the screen's "cubby" in the dash. I removed both of the clips and then replaced the screws to hold the dust shield.
Now, the monitor springs out and clicks, but no longer "snaps" before being able to flip up or down. It flips up and down with very little effort. I can now flip out or stow the screen with one hand. I haven't noticed any side effects to removing the clips yet. I thought perhaps it would "jiggle" while inside the dash, but so far it seems just as sturdy as it was.
Peace.

Problems with DWW-700 - temperature
I ordered mine from ebay. The first unit worked fine for abou 3 weeks then I'd start getting a white screen when I would turn it on. About 20% of the time it would turn on correctly. I sent it back for another one. The new one came in and worked for about 4 weeks then it started getting a white screen. Now I have noticed that if the temp drops below 70F it gets a white screen or does not turn on. I have to blow my heater on it for about 5-15 minutes then it turns on.
Does anyone else have problems like this? Know of a fix?

I guess if its cold then the LCD may have probs - the same goes for most LCD devices ( this is assuming 70F is low lol )

700H - rattle
everything is installed and running fine. the only problem i am having is the annoying rattle while the screen is out and driving in the city. hiway is alright since there arent too many bumps but i live in NYC and roads are horrible. so while driving around, the screen shakes and rattles, do you guys have this problem, is there anything that can be done to get the rattle out. put some padding somewhere or something?

I noticed that too, but thought it was just my old rattley car that was just plain too rattley. I usually just turn it a bit to the left or right, until one of the top corners contacts the dashboard. You may be able to take it apart and find somewhere to stick some kind of bushing in somewhere, I haven't taken mine apart. If you find a good solution, be sure and post it.

I have the same problem, although mine seems to have issues below 40F. With the cold spell we have had in the northeast, I haven't even tried turning it on most days. Like you though, I discovered heat does the trick if given some time to work.
Is it really 70F fo you though?? I am hoping that was a typo for your sake. If not, is it too late to maye exchange it?

the thing is, i think its more of the problem of the screen shaking inside the plastic housing, not the unit itself shaking. my screen is already installed and i dont want to take it all apart and stuff. but i am thinking that sooner or later i might take it out cause its getting really annoying.
