So how has this screen been treating you? Im thinking of getting one in either this or the dynamix version. My main concern was the metal casing as it will be molded into my dash... This review has made me a little excited since you say the backing is metal but the front bezel (most important) is plastic... Is this the same with the dynamix? or is the dynamx all metal (aluminium)??

How is it in the sun? lots of glare?
Let me know! Thanks

The backing is metal but the front bezel is plastic, i don't have the dynamix, but by the pictures it seems like they are the same. I think with all screens, there is glare...I can't give you a comparsion. With iguidance and the sun you can see the screen very well, but you can make out the outline of the roads and the surrounding.

For ~$200USD, you can't go wrong with this 8in widescreen touchscreen monitor. I've very happy with it. It seems that the guy on ebay no longer sells it, but i found this link

The dynamix version is exactly the same thing as the TView. Metal backing and plastic front. $225 on eBay. It is also auto power on.

hey acuratlfan, the 6th pic you have posted of the panel out of its outer casing. just wondering if the small thin bezel around it its plastic, if i get this model im thinking of mounting it on/in my dash with that inner bezel displayed.

Gosh carputer shopping would be so much easier if i could walk into a shop with these screens on display and pick them up look at them and place them against my dash.

you guys in the USA have it so much easier to buy everything ! GGRRRRR
that shop http://www.americanthunderaudio.com/...spx?id=1512300 only delivers to USA not Australia. God damn second rate technologically impaired country.

does anyone know if this one http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Dynamix-8-TFT...QQcmdZViewItem
which im assuming is the newer model which has auto on is the only Dynamix 8" with auto on. And the real question when gutted does the screen have its own small bezel like in pic number 6 of aucuratlfan's picture lineup.

This auction is for a regular screen 4:3 not widescreen 16:9 as the one I have

It is possible the Dynamix 8" and this one are the same...(the drivers are the same, and the remote/mounting hardware is the same as my dynamix monitor)

However, my 7" only uses a single cable from the monitor to a multi pin connector...then a 6' cable to the plugs (3 rca, 1 VGA, 1 USB, power plug...and reverse switch wire.) Very clean smart setup.

Clearly on those pictures, the Touchscreen is an add on and uses a separate cable.

I'm pretty sure that they are the same unit. The only difference is that mine is the older version without the Auto-On feature.

Yes, the block of wire is a cleaner setup...but some people have ghosting/interference issues with the block design. As for the touchscreen...most units follow the same design; it's a separate USB controller...depending on manufacturer they may have same or different wire harnesses

Tview DVD722FMTV

I am in need of the contact info for TView. I have a DVD722FMTV unit that will not work sometimes. I thank any and all that can assist with this matter.

DO you have the viewable measurements of the screen and the measurements of the outside of the actual lcd module without the casing?
