RR , Iguidance, and Xport3
Im using a GM-210 reciever. If I use it with Iguidance only it works great.
If I use RR with it exclusively, it works great...
BUT..
If I use Xport3 to split the ports to RR and IG, it takes 20+ mins to lock on and the updating in IG to my movements is VERY slow.
Any help would be appreciated.

Xport3 was causing my system to BSOD.
I just set the GPS to Port 0 in RR.

Is this when resuming froom hibernate? If you open XPort, do you see anything changing on the bottom of the XPort window during the first 20 minutes?

Bet you have bluetooth. Many times you can see the problem driver on the blue screen. Just change your virtual ports to something higher or make sure they don't conflict with other ports that may try to open later, the way some bluetooth drivers do it.

No sir, no bluetooth. But I am running XP via VMWare fusion on a Mac Mini.
Of course I can't read the bluescreen on my 7" monitor because it's too small.

Nothing changes..
I can go into IG and goto GPS info, I see 4-5 sats displaying signal bars, but IG says
SATS 0/7
I have tried using it directly in the back of the PC, or using a hub, no difference.
the GPS is on com 2
I have it split between com 4 and 6
4 is for IG, 6 is for RR.
I have also tried this with a PC and a laptop, same issue.
I have also tried GPSGate to, same issue.
But if I use it without a port splitter, it works fine!!
Would it matter if it was USB 1.1 instead of 2.0? I wouldnt think so as its only 4800bps.

Which version of Xport are you using, as for a long time i used an older version and decieded to try the newest and then had all sorts of probs...went back to old version, rock solid.
Other ppl have mentioned that different versions work better with their setup than the others. Maybe this is your prob??

Im was using v3 of xport.
Remember, Im using GPSgate right now with the same issue..
without a splitter, it works great individually, but with a splitter, I get no, or sometimes get signals.

Curiosity release sub-version (that is what Blue ZX3 was asking) once in a while or whenever people report bugs.
There are version 1.01 to 1.13.
All my hardware work best on 1.04 or 1.06 (can't remember)

Ive tried 2 different PCs, my carPC itself and a laptop with the same issue.
Those who have a working one, would you mind sharing your version of Xport so I may test it?

Just want to say that I'm using XPort3, latest RoadRunner and IG2.1.2. Everything works fine. Did you set the correct baudrate in XPort ?
