music folder

I have a simple question that I couldn't seem to learn from searching.....

I'm using RR with Iphone skin, and this is my first RR experience which i'm enjoying. (thanks everyone who worked on these softwares)

anyways, after install, I deleted my music from the music folder, but now I'm about to put music back in there.... but when I open up RR, it kind of shows the old files but they of course don't play. are things going to get disorganized when i copy music back into my windows folder?

is there a (update from folder) option in Road Runner i don't see? so that it will get rid of the deleted file names before I rebuild my music folder?)

I feel dumb not knowing what to do here, but I'm being careful before I redo folder because it takes forever. (i update my truck PC by wireless and it takes forever for just 2 gigs of music)

thanks

Thats actually strange, as it should not show the old files that were deleted. RR simply displays a list of the files on your hard drive. You may be looking at the playlist, and not the browser.

Whatever is happening, you will have no problem adding the new music, as it will not get mixed in with the old.

I do not know what skin you are using, but you simply need to clear the playlist.

exactly -- RR is loading the winamp playlist and the tag cache it saved the last time you used it. Much like winamp itself would display the files you deleted... just clear your playlist, and load your new files that's all.

oh, i kind of see.

but how do I clear my playlist? Or I don't need to really, since I play songs from RR, not winamp. should I just open/close winamp before I start RR again? I'm using Iphone skin. Or do you clear the playlist from within RR?

thanks guys,

most skins have a button for that, or a button that erases the current playlist and loads files as a new playlist. If you don't know how to do that in the skin, just closer RR, delete winamp.m3u from winamp's path, and tagcache.ini from RR's path. When you open RR again it will have an empty playlist.

Nomader is on a distinguished road
or maybe open winamp standalone, and clear the playlist!
