The GPS Locks up RR!

I have tried every combo possible to isolate this. I am using Dig FX skin and I have tried other skins with the same result. If RR is receiving GPS data it locks up within a minute or two weather I am using IGuidance or not. If I change the GPS port to 0 in Config, RR is fine and iGuidance works fine as well. The second I change the port back it locks again. I am confused. I am using Xport and have changed comm and baud settings and it locks under all of if.
It isn't terrible but I would like to use some of the skin GPS features in Digital FX you know? At least IG works, but if you have any ideas please let me know. I have I fresh install as of last night of XP Dig FX and of course RR. Thanks, B

Are you using the latest RR version from yesterday (09/06/07)?

This is just a hunch, look for the "localdatacaptureinterval=1" in the rr.ini file. Change this to 0 and see if it then works.

If it does, it may be a problem with the zips.dat file, or you may have the new 8 megs zips.dat file, and with the file so large, it can cause RR to hang when it looks up your location from that file. There are a couple ways to fix it, but first try that and see of it works or not.

Other than what John's saying, the only thing I can think of is if your GPS port itself is locking up -- maybe if you used a Bluetooth GPS and lost connection for instance. But chances are it's what John said.

Changing the interval did it.
