Arrow RR 10-26-2007.. iLists & Custom stuff..

In this version:

-Added support for "iLists" (Requires at least DirectX 7)
-Added support for "Custom Lists" (SDK/Plugin/Scripting support)
-Added support for "Custom Sliders" (SDK/Plugin/Scripting support)
-Added command to show/hide labels as desired
-Added support to show Water Depth and Temperature for extended GPS devices
-Added support to poll track path of any item in the playlist (for SDK/Flash)
-Added alternate Resume Check for those with issues on hibernate/standby
-Added prevention against empty audiofiles/videofiles settings
-Improved PREV2 command to work like PREV when holding
-Improved event handling for Lists
-Fixed NEXTAVS/PREVAVS/FULLAVS commands not working on 9-30
-Fixed issue with coverart when switching from between certain screens
-Updated HD Radio Control

-Skin Editor V0.5 is also released:
http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/rr-s...or-v0-5-a.html

Notes:
-Wonder what iLists are ? Check it out HERE and HERE
-iLists require at least DirectX 7 -- it is shipped with anything above Windows 2000 and can be installed even in Win98SE. If you use Vista, you'll have to download DX7VB.DLL from the web.
-To take the maximun advantage of iLists: use only filenames (improves Playist and Dir list) OR use the read Metadata ON LOAD in winamp (improves playlist). Using tags will cause the iList to lag accordingly while reading TAGs.
-Custom lists are also limited on ONE per screen and can be made into iLists as well.
-Custom Sliders are unlimited but with pre-defined range (which can be converted using EVAL to almost any purpose).
-ResumeCheck is based on tejesh83's code (Thanks) from another thread. Just add resumecheck=true to RR.INI if you have problems resuming from hibernate.
-Everything else should be commented and you can find information either in Skin Commands.txt or Readme.txt.
-We've also enlisted some help from JohnWPB on the RR forum -- Welcome!

There's always more to come.. enjoy it for now,
Guino.

is this for items in the VISIBLE playlist or the entire playlist? Meaning in a 7 item displayed list if i'm scrolling a list will a be able to poll the track path for every list item i scroll to or just the initial 7 songs in line from the current track.

If this works the way its intended to it would be HUGE for my upcoming skin.

Works with all Items in the playlist, regardless of them being in view or not -- note that this has nothing to do with the description for the items (which are normally loaded when in view).

Thanks for all the hard work. I look forward to learning the new "twists".

Donation pending (need to get paid first!)

hey, who's skin is that in the second video?

Now that rr supports "Ilists" I wonder how long it'll be before someone makes a skin with a "clickwheel" style interface?
IE:

Hmmm.........maybe I'll pick up skinning again and give it another go...............

Cheers

Thanks. Looks nice from the videos.

One question: when using the auto updater, the first time I ran it, it downloaded the update fine, but said 'installation failed'. Now, when I run the updater, it shows the correct version date, but says there is an update available, then 'Download Failed'.

Known problem, or did I bugger something?

Thanks again, loving RR so far (;

I just downloaded the binary file, unzipped it to my RR file in programs and all is good. Maybe the updater is not "updated" to the proper link yet?

Guino, one question.
IL,PL,RGB000000,RGBFF0000,************,0,20,70

par1 controls the background
par2 controls the line in-between

unselected item color is controled via "S01"
how do you control the selected item color..? it is stuck in blue!!!

EDIT: ok got it.. found a bug
the colors are mixed up
not read correctly from the "standard list" (S01)...
blue is red, and red is blue.

one more thing..are "DL-ilists" limited to filenames..?
i had my standard-DL (for loading media) showing directory structure but displaying %title% tag (when reaching the .mp3 )
it actually does not follow the standard DL properties defined in RR.ini.. (eg use tags for DL)
