Problem browsing for Music in RR?

Hello,

I seem to be having a small problem with brosing for music. The FAQ on this topic confuses me......I'm new to this. I am using CDR's Iphone skin.

I can't really see or play my media files inside road runner? Actually, if I play a song before entering Winamp, this song will continue to play upons starting RR.

I can play all of my MP3 files fine from winamp. But when I start RR and go to audio, and switch the folders I have my music in, it either doesn't show up at all, or when I go to browse in that folder they files are in within RR, nothing is there?

Example, for now I have all of my folders with music in: C:\Documents and Settings\Speed6\My Documents\My Music\

Within that folder I have several other folders that contain mp3s.

My "Music Path" in my config file is set to: C:\Documents and Settings\Speed6\My Documents\My Music\

But I am having this problem. Any ideas, was this something you experienced too, or is this just some weird occurance?

Thanks,
Forrest

Have you registered the winamp.dll?

If you mean just registering Winamp when you first install it, I'm pretty sure I did?

I think it's the part when they ask if you want 50-free offers or somethign. I let it connect the wimanp server.

Everything works fine outside of RR though. I just can't browse within RR.

No not registering with winamp(nullsoft), but registering the DLL.

In a recent update to RR it no longer uses the winamp.exe it uses winamp.dll, and this needs to be registered.

Easiest way to do this is to download the latest RRConfig and run that, it should do it automatically.

Just love comments like this...but I do not think that is whats causing the problem. He is not complaining about song selection control problems, he says that he can not see any of his music in RR, which by defalt uses a file browsing method and with or w/o winamp, should not effect RR ability to browse folders/files.

Delete the audiofiles= line from RR.INI, make sure your files are no hidden or set with a system attribute, and make sure your musicpath is pointing to the right place.. then it should work.

In case you didn't do this. Run RR config then select page 1 under music on the left side. Down on the right side you need to select what type of files you want to show up like .mp3 and whatever else your music is stored as.

Ok, I deleted the audiofiles line from rr.

Now I can load the music, but I have to drag the music over the 'Load' button everytime. And to switch to another folder with specific playlists, I have to drag the entire folder, then hit the root button, which will then show all of the playlists, then I have to drag the spefic playlist over to Load.

This is a bit cumbersome. Is there a way I can navigate through the menu like you would normal folders?

Like click the Playlist folder which would show all of the folders in there, then click on the particular playlist folder I have, then click on the song?

Sort of navigate the normal way you can with windows to find files you want?
