Windows media player in Road Runner?
I've searched but haven't come up with any solid leads to this but,
I was wondering if it is possible or if anyone uses WMP in road runner for music instead of winamp?
All always have used WMP11 for music and I would like to keep it that since all my tracks are rated through WMP and they are all arranged well through WMP.

sry. road runner is based on winamp commands and the layout winamp has. you can embed WMP if you want to, ive seen threads on that.
personally, it is worth converting to winamp
1) more plugins => better sounding music
2) its already functional with RR
3) ratings work with RR and winamp, if thats what you need.
4) winamp and RR plugins provide better layouts/search capabilities/arranging features than ive ever seen in WMP. i use RR or winamp on all my computers and have abandoned WMP altogether.
5) im sure there are more reasons...

Trust me. The more I learn about WMP and what it does to audio output, you WANT to use WinAmp for music playback.

Alright I'll definitely give winamp a shot but I might look at trying to embed WMP

You can try FMOD ... but I've never seen an issue with winamp's shuffle ...
On the subject of this thread.. it's possible to make a WMP player plugin for RR and in fact I have a similar thing nearly done.. the problem is that WMP does not offer the equalizer feature, so I don't think it's worth doing something that causes RR to "loose" features..

Yep...I said it once...and I'll say it again...some people just like going backwards..
That was also one thing that FP lacked. It wasn't b/c frodo didn't want to do it, its just that he couldn't, the wmp eq is outsourced and no way to control it...

I have the same problem. I think it has to do with RR not saving what has already been played when it shut down, so the next time you start it, it plays the same songs again. It is very annoying, and really the only problem I have with RR.
