Embed Visu when already running & in multiple screens?

Hi all,

I'm working on a RR skin and I've hit a problem - What I'm trying to do is embed the winamp visualization on the main rr screen without having to manually launch the visu from a button.. then when i switch to the audio player screen I want the visu to embed into that screen too - again without having to manually launch the visu from a button.
I can sucessfully embed it if I put a button on each skin with the command "Visu" but I want it running all the time..
I also tried putting "AUDIO||VISU" in the button command for switching to the audio player screen and while it did solve the problem of auto starting the visu it also STOPS it if already running

Is there any way I can achieve this ?

Cheers!

You could try and control the state yourself by doing

VISU||AUDIO||VISU from each skin, effectively making ot turn off leave the skin, load the next skin and fire up the Visual.

The VISU command is a toggle that turns it on or off.

cheers

Thanks for the reply - I've not tried yet, but thinking about it I guess that way would work.
How would I embed to the main.skin though as there is no 'calling screen' that can pass the VISU command..

Does RR not provide the ability to just embed a specified window even if its already running instead of having to keep turning it on and off?

U create a command in the exctbl.ini called VISEMBED for example with the "RUN;;visu window name".

When u switch from main menu to audio you do AUDIO||VISEMBED. ( asssuming you already started the VIS). This will automatically embed the visu in the skin you are loading.

Good luck.
