RR source

Hi,

I am about to realize my CarPC project. I would really like to use RR as frontend. I would like to integrate my navigation solution (TomTom6 on device emulator). The device emulator process should be brought to foreground via RR menu entry. Furthermore, I-bus messages shall be forewarded to the device emulator, when it has got focus.

The link on the RR page does not work anymore. How can I get access to the RR sources?

Ok,

according to postings it seems that the current versions source is not avalialbe 'to the public'

I can imagine that guino wants to avoid that there are 1000 versions out there due to uncontrolled hacking.. RR is highly parameterizable anyway.

Anyway, is there somebody out there who could give me access to an old version?
To bring the navigation application to foreground/background and route i-bus messages to it. Maybe this could also be achieved reworking the BMW_RR_i-bus. Anyone who knows where to find the sources for that one?

i can post the most recent available source.. tho i warn you... you should only test with this version as i believe i was adding a few features that may conflict with other things guino is doing now. PM me and i'll give you a linky

would be cool, I'll PM you..
Btw it came up to my mind that the thing I want to do might be done via plugin as well.. pros would be the clean interface - no intrusion into RR thus compability with future versions.. cons: I am very new to RR and have not checked out the capabilities of the RR plugin architecture so far...

Are there plugin templates so far?

there is an extension plugin example in the source i sent you. The notation gives you everything you need to get started. If you have any questions i'll do my best to help but guino is the man mostly.
