Thanks... haven't even seen it yet. Just ordered my ebay HDZ300, and cable from you today.

Was just looking to see if it had a use, other than trash can... maybe change the backlight color, and see what's possible on the dot display.

I just got mine. You sure the hdz300 front end doesn't have any other purpose?

I'm imagining the HTPC guys dreaming of a flood of unused hdz300 controls to embed in the front of their htpcs....

a full dot display, reasonable control layout, IR eye... all rs232 controlled.
mitch, I work in a software company, tons of developers in my area.
I might have a hack at your source if you'd share, to see if I could integrate the controller into running mediaportal...
