simple question about "shufflerepeat" indicator
All my latest skins have been created with soft coded labels to allow the font color to be changed. I have made a custom font to include different symbols so they change to the same color as the rest of the labels.
I made some symbols for repeat and shuffle and I want them to turn on only when the respective mode is enabled. The shuffle symbol is coded as the capital letter "S" and the repeat symbol is capital "R".
I played with the "SHUFFLEREPEAT" indicator and it works, but not the way I want it to.
My shuffle repeat area looks like this:
When shuffle is on, the symbol shows in the middle of the area, same when just repeat is on, when both are on, it shows them spaced pretty far apart (even though I've made the lower case letters "huffle" and "epeat" blank and 0 pixels for character spacing.)
I want the shuffle symbol to only show in the middle of the red area when it's on, and the repeat only in the middle of the yellow area when it's on.
I'm able to accomplish this using hard coded symbols, but they don't match the custom font color. And I want to keep my skin light, I don't have an "ON" image for ANY of my screens, so that reduced the overall skin size by 1/3.
Since it's a label instead of an image, how would I do this?

I sort of getting what you're saying but am still unclear.
If the "S" & "R" are labels, why not just adjust their postion so that they show up in the appropriate spot when "ON."
Perhaps if you include a piece of the skin code, can get a better idea of what you are trying to accomplish.

if i understand this right i did
the same sort of thing , with labels set as ind's
L,569,487,101,44,255,0,0,23,"Arial:B","BYIND;MUTE;= <<=Mute","CENTER"
if this is what your looking for , in red is the cmd and in blue is the text shown when activated.
so for you it will be
L,569,487,101,44,255,0,0,23,"Arial:B","BYIND;REPEAT;= <<=R","CENTER"
the Orange will be where you put your color define
sorry if this is not what your looking for.

I will try what carputer1 was saying, I totally forgot about the << command. I think this is what I'm looking for, and I knew it was something really simple. I took some time away from this forum, and subsequently RR since my old car died, and I wasn't going to finish that install. Now I'm back, but still a little rusty on the skin commands.
I'm going to totally revamp my Webdings 3 font with tons of symbols that we can use for skins rather than having to hard code the images themselves. This way they will change colors with my font color chooser (which has been implemented in most of the newer skins.)
I'll report back tonight on if this worked or not. Thanks.

want a label to show in the same color as the rest and the ind label to be a diifferent color,
just duplicate the label so its on top of the ind label,
so you can now have top label defined color
ind label somthing different
hope that makes sense

Thanks, carputer1, I knew about the label on top of the indicator thing. If you check out my mAv1c skin, you'll see what I was talking about on the bottom right.
