Possible to make RRConfig more touchscreen Friendly?
I use RRConfig a lot. Has anyone made it skinnable? Larger fonts, buttons that tie into the Save, Exit, Reload etc. Centrafuse has a very nice Settings set up, several skins with all the settings which is very small screen friendly.

I've gotten it embedded in my skin, but it's not touch friendly. If Blue_ZX3 would make keyboard shortcuts for the different exit options that would make it a lot easier to skin. Also, having a little larger text would be nice as well. So we'll just have to wait and see if he'll implement it.

i've got a mouse, but just the same as a lot of things that get embedded, like email, etc, it's just a little nicer to be able to access without having to bust out the mouse.

Guess I am the only one that does then. Have a long commute, so I do try different things while driving at red lights etc.
For example,
Gamma at night
GPS speed Volume
General Settings
Mapping Master Volume
You really cant do somethings remotely using VNC or whatever you use to remotely configure.
Blue ZX3 is RR Config open source what is it written in? If its VB6 I can just change the form size, fonts etc.

Really, pull over and use your mouse. This is not the brightest idea to be configuring your RR while driving anyway.
Think about it..

It is the same as browsing for a song from a list. I also mentioned the vehicle is at a stop. Anything you do with a carputer takes your eye away from the road, but I am responsible and have had it for several years and know how to operate it properly. 2 speeding tickets, no accidents in 30+ years of driving. (well 2 parking tickets also). I have several devices that enable me not to control via touch screen. I use voice control, a touchpad, a powermate and a Mini Dinovo bluetooth keyboard and a cellphone which interfaces with roadrunner and acts as a shortcut keyboard and mouse. Every device is used for safety that is why I have so many of them. They are all situational. So its not about the device, its about ease of use.
Guess I will figure a way with either voice, or the powermate with a little VB6 program. Download Centrafuse sometime and look at the settings screens, then you will understand what I am talking about.

why don't you just make some extra screens for those settings that you use the most, and use RR itself to save the changes, like VOID skin(looks very nice). thats what i did in polaris to.

Elcamino hit the "nail on the head". You can easily make a skin to change the settings that you use the most.
In a skin you can do the exact same thing that the configuration utility does with the command SAVETOINI. For instance if you want to change the GPS port, make buttons with the code:
SAVETOINI;gpsport;5 and just change the port number on the individual buttons to include them all.
GPS Speed Volume is one I wanted for instance, here is a screen cap of it in my skin:
