Great idea. It should be expanded to all apps (not just GPS) like for instance the "sexy attached Analyzer" that's difficult to embed without just the right window name (which i don't remember right now).

hha meddler beat me to the punch I was watching the thread to see more items added before making it a sticky. I edited the title of the thread, as it is now a sticky, and did not need the )May want to make a sticky) in the title.
I also edited the post to include a link to iGuidance, as well as the price.

May I suggest the links are checked for any referer ID's and try and have links to a number of sources if possible, rather than just one.

I think one link is good enough to go to a page that has detailed information for the software. Preferably the manufacturers site. Then you can compare features and such. If you then decide on one, you can easily google different stores that carry the software and shop around.
The other option is to have multiple links for each one, and then try to decide what links to include or not include...
For instance, if you like I can give you probably 100 links where you can buy Map Point, Streets & Trips or iGuidance easily
I think a chart to compare GPS programs easily would be extremely handy. Such as listing features that each has, such as Text to speech, 3D View, Voice Activated ect ect... (GPS Programs across the top, and features down the left, and X's in the columns for features for each one.
Just not sure how to do that in the forums, as some sort of table would be needed.
Here are a couple that were overlooked, and probably for good reason, as they are not really touch screen friendly, though Map Point is supported at the heart of RR, and has many skins to make it much more usable in the car.
MapPoint
Product Home Page: http://www.microsoft.com/mappoint/pr...6/default.mspx
Embedding Details:
GPS Path:C:\Program Files\Microsoft Mappoint\Mappoint.exe
GPS Window Name: Mappoint
;Map - Microsoft Streets & Trips"
Streets & Trips
Product Home Page: http://www.microsoft.com/streets/Pro...s.aspx?pid=004
Embedding Details:
GPS Path:C:\Program Files\Microsoft Streets and Trips\Streets.exe
GPS Window Name: Map - Microsoft Streets & Trips
NOTE: Some version use the window title of: (The AND spelled out) Map - Microsoft Streets and Trips
