in rr, its either winamp, or the mixer
if ur using the winamp line in plugin, its winamp
else most likely ur just using the mixer
when u come back from resume, check levels and mute status of the mixer input ur using
u can also check audio from the sirius tuner with headphones...
i dont think log will show anything, but logging cant hurt

Mitch,
Again, I hope you understand that I am just looking for help to get to the bottom of what happened to my setup. I've done all that before, and no audio. I just came back in from troubleshooting, and I have it working again. I am using the non-mitch version of RR. I confimed that there was light coming from the sirius interface. I also confirmed that there was light coming out of the Sound Blaster Digital I/O Module. I confirmed that analog audio is working first via the SRX player, since I had that readily available. I then plugged the SPDIF cable back in at both ends, and fired up Road Runner. I had clean audio. I am beginning to wonder if the cable was loose at the back of my Sound Blaster Audigy 2 soundcard's digital input? I had re-wired the power, and had taken the car pc out of it's normal position which may have caused the cable to pop slighly out of the socket..
All this being said, I will try your version of RR a little later, after I put my car back together. For some reason, my Sirius Channels list in Road Runner are still out of order. I am beginning to wonder if it is a skins, or lists issue.

in the non "mitch" version of rr, isnt what i focused on, the "mitch" version, is a completely different sirius engine, also.. i keep the PL in sort
you should not have out of sort list with my version
infact i never tried sirius on the offical release, just XM, and thats what got me to this point
audio in my rr, and orgional rr is still basicly the same

Ok, I loaded the Mitch version of RR, and Sirius worked. For some reason my list order issue was corrected. I noticed that my CPU stayed right around 100% utilization, and my channels changed slower. The icons didn't change in some cases either. I switched back to the 5/27/08 version of RR, and the CPU utilization went back down. My list issue also remains fixed. That was probably a function of the skin. If you look at my specs, you will see that my system is not a high performer.

linux, how is cpu% with SID?
also switch to my RR, and set SRPORT=0
disable sirius, and look at cpu
the sort is fixed, because I sort...
not old rr doesnt, and the srcache.ini is sorted now

I'll try this today sometime, and let you know how it works out. I am thinking of going HD radio in the near future.

**** REMEMBER you XM, HD, Sirius Radio MUST have power when the PC is ON!!!!!!!!
so if u got something wired to switch accessory(from the key) its not gonna work, when you use your Accessory to tell the PC to go into HIBERNATION!!! rewire time, use PC's Hard Drive power to power XM, Sirius, HD
I will post files shortly...
i could use a Sirius TESTER
i would NOT call this BETA its Release Candidate
REMEBER its built on the NEWEST RR source i can find (11/07) so if there was a bug in 11/07, and fixed in a newer release of RR (some say ilists, but they work great for me) its still gonna be a bug in this build
BUT this builds Sirius/hd/xm performance outwieghts any bug!

as this version been release yet?
thanks

Mitch,
I'm looking for something just like this so that I may change from mp3's to Sirius. I'm not sure how the HD gets into the system. I do not have a radio at all. I'm just using the PC to run everything in the car. Can you tell me what it is I need to make the radio picture at the bottom of my image switch between Mp3's and Sirius please sir.
Hers is what I'm doing... Look at the image and you will understand better. I'm using a radio look and feel to run what is the radio part of the app. I would like to add a button to switch between the two.

If there is a way to get HD without have a real radio would you share that as well. Thanks
Thanks

You don't need a real radio to get HD -- you just need a HD tuner and Mitch's cable -- the same goes to Sirius/XM... each tuner has an audio out which you can wire through the carpc inputs or to the amp through a mixer or audio switcher. As for the skin: you should be able to make the same looking screen for HD, Mp3 and/or Sirius -- or with a little more work you can use the same screen for all of them.

Guino that it want I want to do. I want to use one to run all. Please advise as to how I do that please sir. I want to use the one at the bottom of the screens to run all the radio stuff. mp3, Sirius, and HD. So I need another one of Mitch's products to do all this and whatever Mitch is pointing me to...
lol
Well I must say this is all a great learning project for an old guy. But I also must say that I will make the entire inside of the car. I began today build the area in the dash that will show off this work of art.
Thanks both of you for filling me in.
Guino just point me in the right direction and I will see what I can do.

Gunio..
I want them all on here sir.
I have updated the image to allow for changing. I added XM but I personally will not be using it but you all might want to work this into your shins... I don't know.
I have the following PL SR XM HD.
Can you teach me how to make them all on one.. or point me to a thread that can tell me how it is done please...
Thanks
Troy

By all in one, he ment to use the same graphic files for your skins. You will need a skin file for each radio player, one for HD, one for XM and one for SR. The commands you have to us are different for all those skins. If you use the same graphic files for the skins then they all look the same but play different media.
