Is there anyway to combine the video player skin and the video browser skin into one skin that will have on pane with the available video files and one pane with a video preview of the file selected. After selecting the file that video preview so go full screen.
Any ideas on how to do this.
I tried inserting a directory list in my video player screen but nothing shows in the list.
Any ideas on how to do this?

Both JohnWPB and LS have tried to do this and have had flaky results. Many different ways and still got bad endings.

Did you use "SETPATH" after you do the load skin cmd? ie. "LOAD;Video_player.skin||SETPATH;$videopath$"

i use to have it in polaris(dead skin) the problem is that if mpc is used as the video player you have the issue of always been on top, you can use internal video player but you loose the capability to play some video files, like i.e mkv. have a look to the vlc plugin. but dont use "video_browser.skin" and "video_player.skin"

I did not use the load command to call the video player screen. I was using the video command.
I tried it out like you suggested and all I get is 2 small directory dots in the area that a directory list was set.
If I enter the video browser screen I can see all the videos in the directory list.

I'm using the internal video option. Can this be done with the internal video (Preferred) or am I better off using the VLC plugin ?

You could do this with my vlc plugin.

Create a skin with half the screen showing available videos and the other half with the plugin embedded. Then when video selected just click on the plugin area. This will make it go full screen. To return just click again to make smaller. Should work fine.

The plugin plays all audio and video formats allowed by vlc AND specified in rr config.
