Auto Gamma Control

I have a Fusion Brain and I'm thinking about purchasing their photosensor (light sensor) to add to my system. What I want to do with it and set it up to sense how light it is in the car and then use the Fusion software to send commands to RR based on the reading to automatically dim the gamma in RR as it gets darker.

I know how to get it to emulate just pushing the day/night button in RR, I want to make it so it gradually reduces the gamma as it get darker. (also nice for tunnels and stuff)

The Fusion software can send any command to RR that you tell it to as long as RR can accept that command.

My question: Is there a command that will work while RR is running that I can specify the gamma setting? Like set the gamma to -30 -30 -30 and apply it while RR is running and not have to restart RR to get the new settings from the INI.

You can do that with the dimmer feature, but you'd have to reload the skin to adjust gamma settings.. I myself think that there should be a gamma command to adjust the gamma based on a direct command.

so basically you saying that it cant be done unless i close and reload RR every time i want it to change?

Would it be possible to make a command that would change the gamma setting in rr.ini then have RR reload the INI (i thought i saw a command for that somewhere once but i could be wrong) then send the NIGHTGAMMA command. If that is even possible would that even work?
