Question Problem with Sirius not loading

I just rebuilt my carpc and loaded the latest if RR and using DigitalFX 4. I got everything working except for Sirius.

When I hit the Sirius button it doesn't do anything. What can I check to why it doesn't do anything?

Same goes for gas prices but I assume it isn't using the new command?

Gas prices are available only by plugin now -- check the plugin section. The built-in feature got obsolete and stopped working.

For Sirius, there was an entire re-write and the new code requires .NET installed along with the libraries it uses. I'd suggest you install it all with the installer and it will install what you need automatically.

I used the exe installer. Is that what you are talking about? I can run it again, I am not sure if it was before or after the 15th of nov. Seems like it is the newer one.

Will the one from http://guino.home.insightbb.com/ work?

Thanks for the help. I ran the update and Sirius worked! I can't go without Sirius. I was having withdrawals.

As far as the GAS prices i extracted the gap zip from the other post and they still do not work. Is in there something in the skin i have to change or ....

I extracted the files to the RR folder, I just thought about it, is there a plugin folder or something? I can't remember?

Hey, I have this same problem, but only intermittently. When it happens, I click on the sirius button the home screen, and nothing happens. If I reboot the carputer, that usually fixes it. Any idea what's going on?

just use the installer, it has newest sirius/hd/xm control classes and other new items, like artwork
(when released)
using the .exe only zip file, u miss out on a bit of new stuff
and could cause problems if you use sirius/xm/hd and more

prob no real good reason NOT to use the installer
it will not overwrite any existing .ini files!
