Guino,
Just so I clearly understand. I have a Silabs radio and travel often to unknown cities. Please explain to me in detail, how to load local stations into the RR Radio screen. Yes, I am asking to be spoonfed!!!!

You can use the "LOCAL" command to switch the station list from normal to local.
Also the command "SEARCHPRESETS" search all frequencies and save the station in the local station list.

I guess he wants something like this:
On your home city:
-Leave LOCAL mode OFF
-Add your home presets carefully (by hand to be sure)
When you leave town:
-Turn Local mode ON
-Use SEARCHPRESETS or add the local stations by hand (however you like)
When you go home again turn LOCAL mode off (your home stations should come back).
That's basically it.

Thanks, that's a start on what I was looking for. A single button with the command "SEARCHPRESETS" will automatically change the radio screen to local mode and search for and load all local radio stations as well as save them in a file "localradio.ini". I can then create an RRCode script to rename it and load it later using the LOADLIST command, but I have to switch to localmode manually first. Is that right?
For clarification, I have some more questions. Above what signal strength does this search occur? and can that level be adjusted? In what directory is the "localradio.ini" saved? If I don't switch to localmode first, will the LOADLIST of a saved "localradio.ini" over write the "radio.ini"? If I shut down the computer while listening to the radio in local mode, when I turn it back on will RR's radio still be in localmode still on the channel I was previously listening to? As I understand the above, the RADIO_MENU_FUNCTION.SKIN is no longer necessary - Please verify/confirm for me.
Thanks for the quick reply.

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but are there any plans for RR to support MediaMonkey in the future?

Going by code... I belive that it should be in the RR's Root (most likely).

Perhaps this has been discussed before, but I didn't see it and think it would be good practice...
Would it be possible for the downloads to have the date / version number included in the file name?

i'm working to end the develope of silabs module
i think can be make it in 4-5 days (i must add some detail to some function)
it is a "porting" and "merging" of my old plugin and base rds/old-silabs module
when i save my user-preset (0-9) i name the preset grabbing the rds name
if all whants i can name all the station using the rds radio name (if it has), is simple
all purpose (if are ok for guino and mitchs) are welcome
[QUOTE]Above what signal strength does this search occur? and can that level be adjusted?/QUOTE]
in my old plugin i can adjust the level strength under the radio must search an alternate frequencies, user can set it inside the silabs.ini config file (r from a form inside rr (in my old plugin)
2 example:
preset rds name (i use a popup )
http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/rr-p...ml#post1232910
and the form loaded inside rr by my old plugin
next have less options to be saved (all audio var doesn't be used)

GizmoQ, yep... do searchpresets
that will switch to local, search for presets, and they save in radiolocal.ini
