that song works fine here (see image) -- Could you create a folder with the same name displayed on your screenshot and put a song into it, zip the FOLDER+SONG and send over ? cause your folders don't look right from the screenshot, which is very unusual.

EDIT: getting the zip now..

whatever zip application you used is NOT unicode compliant -- the file unzipped completely messed up (see image). You did the right thing we want (FOLDER+SONG) but the zip application messed it up. Maybe you want to try the WINDOWS compressed folder instead (or an application that works with unicode (7z) and post again, thanks!

Wow! Your prompt reply is so much appreciated.
I've used the 7-ZIP to zip Folder+Song.
Kindly try again!

Just two questions here,
WHy is RR trying to support so many different audio players?
What is wrong with sticking with winamp?

Well, I for one don't like Winamp. It's buggy as hell. And this, 2.95, 5.13 requirements are silly. Every new version solves a ton of bugs, and the next one introduces another.

For what it's worth, I have never, with many versions, had an issue one with WinAmp, never.
Now, with RRVoiceControl, I am pounding on it, newest WinAmp version, and it is rock solid...
That link is not just for WinAmp bug's. It is a support page. Plugins and all. An author that provides that much support for thier product is awesome. WinAmp is the most robust audio player out there. RR's primary support should be for WinAmp, IMO

I agree 500% I have used winamp 5.13 for almost 2 years on two different PC's (one test rig and the car pc itself). I never had the need to uninstall it. I have had not one problem with it or any release of RR with the exception of the 8-1-09 when the resume functions were hosed which was not winamp's fault. I've ran numerous plugins some decent, some great, and one bad (<--which I stepped in and wrote my own personal alternative) but winamp has never failed me. I've done everything to it but hit it with a sledge hammer and it keeps working. However it seems that the corporate approach is being taken on things that are not broken lately. Like I have seen Enforcer post so many times, and also my mentor has always told me... If it works, leave it alone! There is nothing wrong with having alternatives, but still... If it works, leave it alone!

there is NO REQUIREMENT of 2.95 or 5.13
THAT IS NUTS

USE THE NEWEST WINAMP, its fine... and if its buggy, they are obscure bugs, and one thing for sure, the WINAMP dev team, is continously working on winamp
gets updated often...

keep in mind 5.13 is does NOT support unicode
and not UAC compliant!!!

It's not like WE are trying to support so many players. I personally like winamp best and never had any issues with it. However, along the years, A LOT of people have bashed on RR for using winamp saying things like WMP is better, foobar has better audio quality and so on.. so we figured that instead of having people bashing on RR just because of winamp, we can make options so that nobody would be forced to use winamp.

Anybody using winamp doesn't have to worry about anything related to any other player, and similarly, anyone using WMP or Foobar doesn't have to worry about winamp version/bugs etc. We're not in any way trying to focus development towards any specific player, but if we did something like that, I think winamp would still be my personal choice.

Weather Plugin

I think the weather plugin is broken again. It used to show all the weather icons and labels without internet connection. Today I tryed this, disconnected from the network (no Internet) and started RR > Weather and no info shows up. Reconnected to the network, started RR > Weather and all the info shows up. Can we get that fixed again so we use the weather screens without internet?

That's weird -- can you tell us WHAT setting you had it setup before so we can do some testing ?
