Web site

Guino is doing such a great job, and this project is open source, so I want to help more. You guys seem to like the Road Runner logo I designed, so I thought I'd have a try at improving the Road Runner web site. Anyway here's a demo for you to look at. It's best viewed at 800x600, but it would be easy to make one for 1024x768. http://www.carpcs.net/moremods/index.htm

Guino, let me know what you think.

Looks nice, but you may want to stray away from the use of a trademarked character (just to be safe)...I'm sure the name is fine, but the use of the character could bring about a great deal of pain.

I agree, but guino wanted to add it.

Oh, they are most def sweet, I just worry about too much exposure when WB decided to search on the term Road Runner and sees an unauthorized use of their character. Of course, I don't trust anyone, so that may just be me...

Hehehe.. man it's just a darn bird, anyway, the worst it's going to happen is they force us to remove it.. (they can't really sue us for money since we're not using it to make money in any way)..

The site looks very nice.. definitely better than the one I made (I suck at web stuff)... just one suggestion, any way to make that sub-frame expand with the window ? I think that's just some tag to add in there, not sure .. it's looking great though.. on my page, I was more worried with the way it would work than how it would look like.. so I have all sorts of page counters etc in it.. so, the question is if you can keep track of download/access on your server..

Thanks for all the work on this man!

You're probably right.

It's a iframe, I'll see if it can scale, but it would probably be better to just make a 1024x768 page. There would still be only one page to update, because the page displayed in the iframe could be for all resolution pages. What resolution are you using?

Well, that wasn't what I was trying to do, I just wanted to help with some web design. Right now those files are hosted by SteveC. He offered web space to us all a while back and I grabbed a spot. Garry saved me last year by hosting all my MediaCar skins (he still is ). Do you need web space?
Here's SteveC's thread about hosting if you need it.http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...highlight=Host

Anyway, I wouldn't mind taking care of the site for you, but you update it so often it would be hard to keep up!

Let me know what you want to do.

Guino, let me know what you think.

Websites don't need start pages! Takes another click and another second to get where you want to be. IMHO they're absolutely no use at all!

If you say it serves a purpose then it's not beside the point! What's the purpose? (Just out of interest)

And don't get me started on entry pages that have some sort of 30 second flash intro embedded!

As I stated, This is best viewed at 800x600. That "stupid small window" would fill the screen at 800x600.

In this case it would allow me to get your screen resolution so that I can redirect you to the correct page.
