Smile Road Runner Facts...

Well, tomorrow (21st) Road Runner will be exactly 3 months old

I started working on Road Runner (Remedia Car then) November 21st, 2004. At first all I wanted to do was "fix up" a few screens of MediaCar. For legal reasons (and obvious complication of integration of my code with MediaCar's), I decided that I should just make a whole new program from scratch.

After seeing all the trouble and that MediaCar users were dealing with, I decided to share my code with others and so I posted my code on the web. I was really impressed with the response from users and never thought this project would take off that well (specially seeing the number of front-ends available). One fact most people don't know is that I actually did not work on this project the whole time after I started it: I went to Brazil on Vacation for almost an entire month.

So technicaly, Road Runner is basically only 2 Months old. Not to say that I only made it available January 22nd, 2005 -- which means Road Runner has only been available to the public for one month (on the 22nd).

Now in this one month (still not complete), we have come a long way.. Over 100 threads and over 2000 posts... 1500 downloads in the first 20 days (binary package only). A lot of people have joined us and a lot of stuff has been done.. new skins etc..

These facts lead me to believe this project has been fairly successfull so far and I'm here to say that this is just the beginning..

I just wanted to thank all of you for your support and patience on overcoming any issues encountered along the way..

Again Thanks!
Guino.

You are awesome, without your help, I would never have so much that I could do with my carputer. I don't usually buy software, and I actually donated to you, now that's saying something:P

P.S. DONATE!

Hey Guino,
the big feedback is cause of your great work!
As you can see, many people liked mediacar (me too) and were so happy that this project is (re-)alive and much better than before
I thank you so much and very excited what comes next!

PS: Donation comes, have to collect some money first

Guino you rock. Your immediate response alone makes this the best frontend out there. I'll be away for a week, but i look forward to helping RR reach ever greater levels of success when I return. Thanks for your fantastic work.

I can do nothing but echo these comments... I've probably given you a hard time... mainly because I am trying to do new things and push the app to its limits. You have always listen and more often than not posted an answer. ( And lets face its guys to answer all the posts here takes time in its self ).
From my point of view I want to thank you for doing this and getting ... well MC users back up and running... from your point I hope mine others feed back are of some use to you.

Well done mate... hope to see you around for a lot longer.

Even with all the other good front ends out there, Road Runner is getting SOO much attention, that it does really show how many people liked MC and now can do all the things they wanted and faster....

Thanks.....

It's time to bump up my donation....
