Only the Steering wheel controls can control the PC the way CDR has done it.
But if the Headunit can send out codes for different button presses it will/would be possible for those to be intercepted and acted upon.

I'm starting to get used to the broken English of the Europeans (guess I get a bit more practice as I work for a Swedish Company) and some of the American citizens.

Thanks for posting this, CDR. I have my carpc back from haiatus and am trying out RR; My old ibus app never really worked properly, so I'm glad you were able to make Franck Touanen's so flexible. He had told me of it, but I had never used it. I'll be trying this out in a minute, but I expect it will work without any tweaking
Edit: Well If I could get my ibus interface stuck off of com12 it probably would work; haha.. Anyway, though, it does not seem to work with suspend (and maybe hibernate as well) -- I think the app needs to close the port before suspend and reopen it afterwards.
CDRSkull: Did you have to modify the ibuscomm source code to make this work with RR? If so, do you have it posted somewhere that I can look at it to try to make it work w/ suspend/hibernate? Thanks

The proper way to make it work is to close the serial port when the computer is about to enter hibernate and reopen it when the system resumes. I could do it, but I think the source may have been modified from the original to work with RR, so I was waiting to hear from CdRsKuLL on this point before I started into it.

Yes; I can hibernate fine when the I-Bus is connected directly to a serial port, but the software needs the PM notifications when it's connected via a USB dongle... If you can dig up the source code, I'll try to get the modification done. Thanks!

CDR, Got a few questions for you... I have a BMW E34, I retrofitted the E46 M3 steering wheel in. The steering wheel itself is an I-bus controller, but what's required to get the buttons to work? As I said, I have an E34, which has no interface to the steering wheel... any guidance appreciated.
