sorry, I was referring to my above questions...
The usb serial adapter is not the thing with the issue, it is ibuscomm.exe crashing on resume from hibernate if you use it on a usb serial adapter...
gork was going to add the power managment code into cdr's modded app, and I was wondering if I should still wait for that to happen... otherwise I will just switch something else to the usb-serial adapter, and hope that software is hibernate aware...

unless you want to try to integrate i-bus support into RR...
here is the sourcecode to talk to the i-bus serial adapter...
http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...ease_id=292951
that would be sweet if RRConfig had options for i-bus to map the 6 steering wheel buttons to skin commands(which is what CdR made his ibus app do, it just runs seperate of RR)

I'd rather talk to CDR and work with him to modify the code to try and improve it to be more HIBERNATE "aware".. this is the kind of thing I'd not want to add into RR because a very few select people would use it.

I bought an I-bus interface from Rolf in Germany as well. However this is what happened to me.
I got the interface and came to attach it to the cd changer cables, the interface has 3 pins, while the cd changer cable has 4 connectors, i didn't know which ones to connect to, yet i still connected it.
I then connected the serial cable. Closed the boot lining and kept on tuning my amps.
I didn't program the carputer for the i-bus was too lazy to do it and decided to work on it in a couple of days.
A couple of hours later my Air conditioner's compressor and half of them items on the instrument cluster stopped working. I check all the fuses non have blown. so the next day i drove down to the bmw service centre and the check the car on their diagnostics system, the K bus was ****ed up, i went there and removed the ibus interface and everything worked fine.
Can anyone give me a logical explanation for what had happened?

Does anything else need to be done other than using the above files? No modifications to the KeyTBL.ini or anything? I had the ibus working with Frodo, and now I'm using RR with the exact files above (changed the com port to the one I'm using), and button presses make the RR screen flash a little, but no action. I'm sure I have something wrong somewhere, but after a few days of looking at it I've not figured it out.

it's it's actually a solit state device made by a guy in Germany that hooks directly into the iBus. Most people hook it into the CD changer port... because it's no longer needed and already in the trunk, but you can also hook it into the center console port.
The ibus cord is actually a small flat three wire plug.
