Just a thought... such options as -remoteNoDesign do not work on PhoCo 1.3 or 1.4 Beta.

I completly agree to RoyN...but for the users of older versions, i could do a kind of compatibility-mode.

I personally don't think people should be using the older version - if they wish to use it in the car they should pay for the full version ... its not as if its megabucks!

If the software isn't supported by a purchase Zorro may decide to withdraw further development ... plus you get support with the paid for version. I for one am going to pay for a copy as soon as Version II of the CarPC is installed - its all in bits at the moment and about to change my mobile for one compatible with Phoco so I can then test in the car rather than just on my laptop.

ok, ok! I surrender. It is useless continue testing without an official version of Phoco. I will buy a Phoco License as soon.

Bit daft to write something to be compatible with an older version ... just asking for problems, make more sense to work on code for one version and for us to buy a full licensed copy.

the only thing i would have to change is to call phoco with " -remote" and not with " -remoteNodesign"...for the old version...but i think you're right and we should support zorros great work.

From a purely support point of view you are best trying to stick with the latest version to integrate. There is also less chance of inherent bugs as 1.4 will (hopefully :-) ) have less bugs than 1.3.

You could simply let the user decide and let the option be a part of the command line in PhoCo.ini.
The difference between both options is a performance boost on -remoteNoDesign.
