Slow RR Launch

Hi all...

Well I've gone and done it... I have my carputer installed. Next thing to get working is the IBUS/Steering wheel buttons.

Now to the point... Since I have installed the latest update, I notice that RR is very slow to launch... It used to launch within a few seconds of "double clicking" on it, but now it takes upwards of 10 seconds to launch.... As soon as the winamp preload was finished RR used to be right behind it, but now... it really seems to lag.... any clues?

BTW...for any BMW E46 Cab owners... I have found the best place for the installation of a GPS Puck. In the center of the rear deck underneath the center vent where the seat belts enter. The Puck tucks neatly underneath and the signal strength is amazing. The true benefit is that it is totally hidden! Like a fool... I forgot my camera to document the installation.

Thanks in advance!

Did you by any chance mess with any Phoco Settings in the config ? That's the only thing that's been added to the load.. just make sure you don't have this setting in RR.INI:

phocopath=<ANYTHING>

if you do and you don't have Phoco installed/setup then you're entitled to up to 10 seconds of trying to find Phoco..

I do have PhoCo installed, and I checked the path to ensure it's correct.... I'll play around with it some more tomorrow. I really want to get the steering wheel controls going and that's more important to me than PhoCo right now. I'll let you know how I make out.

Phoco is what did this to my startup times

even though I do have it installed. Have checked that the path is correct (and it does work from within RR). By removing the path details for Phoco from RR, my RR startup times are back to normal. Giving phoco a miss for now.

Cheers
Mark
