Map monkey sound problems with Road Runner

When I have my GPS on and there is music playing it will turn off the sound for Winamp and also the sound for the GPS when it shows the first warning direction.

After the warning is off the screen the sound comes on saying the distance but as it muted the sound I don’t get the direction.

Then when the second warning starts it works fine with the music playing and doesn’t mute the sound.

I have the option to turn the volume down for Winamp “newest Winamp” off so why is it still muting the sound?

Thanks guys

DjBac is on a distinguished road
in the ini file in MM directory change DirectionTimeOut (I don't remember exactly the name) to 0 value

you probably have MM muting the MASTER VOLUME -- you don't want to do that.. you need to make it set the WINAMP volume ONLY.. and as DjBac mentioned, there's a TimeOut option to prevent muting/reducing volume for a number of seconds after a direction has been said -- I recommend turning that off too.

BTW, this is something that should be happening with ANY frontend and MM -- and probably MM alone too.
