Guino, are you planning to ever include direcotry browsing straight onto the player? Basically removal of browser requirement, and allowing us to browse all of the defined folders, and a button to go UP-A-LEVEL, and then just click directory, start playing stuff in that directory and so forth?
It will make things simpler for people who have never used the system....

I do understand your overspeed alert doesn't work, There might be something wrong because of the addition to the MM's direction indicator.
Example:
Audio player--> volume 80% ok, strong.
Switch to Radio player, volume the same , 80%, it drastically decreases in power....
I check to solve the indicator speed problem...but:
In MM settings needs to select this option or only alone in RR ?
Thanks

1-even different MP3 files have different loudness, you can't possibly expect it to be the same for everything. What I do is lower the winamp volume and increase the Line In/Wave volume to where my Radio/Video/Mp3 have about the same loudness but it can never be perfect.
2-You just need to set the speed in RRConfig. For it to work you must use a skin that has the indicator propperly defined, and most importantly use AGPS on MM.

Set the EQ, then press and hold to save the presets. Once presets are saved, you should be able to load them using of normal press. Presets will not work before you saved them and there's no good way to package RR with presets.

hi guino, i have a problem since last update. its not too major but still a bit annoying.
When road runner opens now, the taskbar is infront of it, as is winamp. until you click on roadrunner, then they go to the back.
it didnt do this until i applied this update. thanks.

Just click on: Hide TASKBAR and Hide WINAMP in RRConfig. Make sure Winamp is running a CLASSIC skin.

I've addressed this before: I won't be doing any skinning towards that. But it should be possible to do it with the existing command set. There's no way to ever play music without loading files to some sort of list (even if a hidden list).

Errr.. thats in already... I do that now...
Just set up MP3s in dirs and browse. Then I just select the whole dir - job done.
@ Guino - couple of functions that are missing and are probably a problem with Winamp is repeat 1 ( ie repeat one track only ) and fast fwd. And example of which can be say a 70 min mix - you want 20 mins in but every time up hit a bump your fungure slips and your on the next track. Is there any way to say jump 5 ins ahead when pressed twice quickly or three time for 15 mins... and so on ?

Winamp doesn't allow single song repeat (as you mentioned) -- You can add it many times to the playlist or use prev to play it again (should work even with shuffle on).
The forward/backward functions in RR are standard from winamp as well, but the reason there's not a function to jump further ahead/back is because you can simply use a song position slider to jump directly to where you want in the song.

Ok the repeat thing I can sort of agree to but what if you where listing to a bunch of tracks ( say 100 or more ) in a play list and you suddnly think - I want to listen to that a few more times ?
Re the slider - what if you skin does not have that in ? ( Like mine ) TBH I think it might spoil mine hence I never put it in...
( Did I make a good enough case then ? Hope so cos GF keeps moaning about it.... especially after the 3rd time though a 76 min track it jumped lol.... my poor screen )

Terran, I dont really get it... you still need to click "LIST" (In my case I automaticall clear list when I go to audio browser), then find the new dir, then add it...
Change to the top directory? BROWSER, browse again, add again...
I wanted to basically have it run off the browser... oh well, I guess I'll have to live with that, it is one of the obvious disadvantages of winamp, but we'll have to live with it...
Didnt mediacar have something like this though? how did it work with winamp?
Guino - you mention a way of doing this through skinning? can you expand? would there be possible to use say just a browser window as a browser/player???

@RoyN that's exactly what terran has done on his skin. He basically just uses the audio_browser to play the directories "directly"... and No, as far as I know mediacar worked exactly like RR does with the BM skin. All you need is to make or get a skin that does what you want.
@Terran, I can (at most create) commands to jump forward/backward a desired amout of seconds, but you'll have to add more buttons to your skin to do that. I believe adding a slider is a much better option not only for control but for display too. I will not change the way the normal forward/backward buttons work because it is intended for holding the button and have exact control of the position of the song, so don't even try suggesting a variable rate of seeking. A slider can be as large or as small as you want -- you don't even have to draw it on the skin and, possibly, you can even place it over non-scrolling labels to save space.
