Radio kinda works?!?!
Well I am lost now. Using dlink USB (dodging the things being thrown) I am able to get it to work using it's own program (dlink radio)but not RR or radiator. I have installed the winamp plugin, I selected dlink from the config along with mute line in and use plug in (checked box and then unchecked it) all to no avail. I am also using the latest D/L of RR binary. It's coming up on 4 days now and I am really getting at the end of my rope. Please someone have ANY advise (besides throw dlink away)?
Thanks Bart
PS I had it working with RR before but my HD crashed last week and had to reload everything and it won't work in RR now.
THANKS again!!!

You don't need Radiator for the DLink, but you can use it if you want.. You should make sure you have the Dlink Driver packaged with RR installed -- this is the one that works with radiator too. other than that, make sure you have Radio.dll in RR's folder (and you can try making sure that's the only radio.dll in the computer).

The only reason I installed Radiator was to see if it worked because RR wasn't but dlink radio was working. Radiator didn't work either. I did like you said and removed all the other radio.dll and just left yours in the RR directory and still no good after rebooting.
I have reloaded the system 5 times now and I don't unstand what has changed. I have tried to only do what I did last time but it is not working.... Maybe I need a bigger rock to hit it with . I am going to try another reload with ONLY RR installed, no Radiator or dlink this time and see what happens.
Thank you Guino for your help and the work you have done on a fine system!! Keep your fingers crossed for me here we go...
Bart

DID YOU DO THIS: "You should make sure you have the Dlink Driver packaged with RR installed." ?

Not really sure about the whole "install" thing. When I conect the USB dlink, it ask for a driver and I choose the usbradio2000xp file. Is that what you are refering to? If there is an "install" program for something I missed, I will have to shoot my self for missing it .

do you use XP/2000 or 9x/ME ? If you use 9x/ME, then you should probably not have installed that driver and used the one that came with the tuner. I believe that pointing windows to that folder is not enough to install the driver -- You need to make sure it asks you for "continue anyway", possibly by choosing "select a driver from a list..." I have tested the DLink on XP and 2000 but never on a 9x/Me machine (although I hear it works best on those).

Well success!!! If you ever install the old drivers 1st , you are screwed (atleast in my case). After reloading 2000.... again.... I only used your drivers. After a little tweaking success. The wife will be glad to have her radio working again in her car. Thanks again for everything...
