I'm currently using iguidance and it's quite good. there's also a good integration project currently going on that is awsome and currently active, sadly it has no europe support yet (last I looked was last week). in any case, search around for iguidance stuff.
it sounds very odd that your experiencing such low performance. I just got 2.0 and it's zooming! I'm just getting the maps from home to try tomtom... will report back shortly...

Well...I don't have a ton of time to read the entire forum since I'm at work, but I saw some issues with TOM TOM causing the speed issues. I'm going to stick my neck out here and suggest trying Mapopolis on it. I know, I know...no 3d view and it's only pt. a to pt. b and no stops between, but i used to use it when all I had for GPS was a RadioShack reciever and a PocketPC. Worked great for me, perfect voice pt2pt nav, fairly accurate addresses, fast on-the-fly route re-calc for when u miss a road...I mean there's construction ! I'm going to try it out this week when I get time. CDR...I see you're going to try this out? I'm using MC2.0 let us know if you find a good way of embedding this in!
Ok, out b4 the boss checks my cube...damn I hate being a cube monkey!

good plan, but live traffic updates and rerouting based on congestion are too good features to miss!
check this thread out for installation and videos

great! good luck. I got the pocketpc emulator working, but if the symbian one can work, it woudl be excellent since it's much less demanding on resources.

yes, in practise it haunted me! I tried and tried, and couldnt' isntall it. I dont' know enough about the symbian OS. They have a simulator which is actually a windows app tha runs symbian code, not an emulator. It's very very fast and great. only I couldn't get TomTom installed and working on it.

but the SP emulator only has a screen size the same as a smartphone so you may as well just get one of them free on a contract and run TomTom Smartphone on it

what version of Activesync works with this ? i have tried 3.8 which says i need version 4.1 to sync with the pocket pc, i cant find 4.1 only 4.2, which doesn't detect the pocketpc when i "cradle" it from the emulator manager
