Has this already been implented in the official rr code ? When will an official version, containing this changes, be released ?

I've added a similar code based on tejesh83's code as an option for next release.

Updated mod for 9/30 release is attached. Like before, lets consider this a beta release, so use it at your own risk. I've tested it in my carpc, and it appears to work correctly.

To install, browse to your RR install directory. For backup purposes, rename the existing RoadRunner.exe to RoadRunner.bak or whatever you prefer. Then replace this exe with the one provided in the zip file.

The basic mod is the same as I posted previously for the last RR release. This time around I had more familiarity with VB6 and the RR source, so it should be less quirky.

Basic Algorithm: The code keeps a timestamp that is updated every second. If between updates, more than 60 seconds has passed, I have assumed the system has just resumed from hibernation and call the RR resumeFromHibernate function to restore the skin, music, ports, etc. NOTE: For testing purposes, please wait at least 60 seconds while the carpc is in hibernation before powering it back on so that the mod will trigger.

Please post your results. I can't promise to work out the bugs, but I'll try as time permits. If its stable, I'll pass along the mods to Guino to incorporate into the next release.

I tried this beta version and It does not work all the time. Music plays just fine when returning from hibernation. The problem is that the ONRESUME command will not fire all of the time.

Try the new release -- my code is similar, but different than his -- do add resumecheck=true to RR.INI first.

My music will sometimes resume to an album (and always the same one) that I listened to the very first time I ran RR..

Sometimes it will resume to the correct music but often times more than not it resumes to the same album (even though that album wasn't even in the playlist at the time of hibernation).

I used Minlogon for a couple days then I realized it wasn't worth the extra few seconds to lose network login support so I switched back. Other than that, nothing out of the ordinary.

Thanks for the reply.

what i have noticed on the latest release is that when i have "resumecheck=true"
when i try to load a skin that has a visuallization embedded in it (and on my oldy desktop it takes 3-4 seconds) the skin is loaded but the resumecheck is triggered by mistake!! ( i can see that because my "ONRESUME";"xxxxxxx" stuff i have in ExecTBL.ini are run!!

Well, RR checks if 5 seconds have gone by without it being able to update anything.. if that's the case, it triggers the resume event -- the original code also had a 5 seconds check. In most cases this is enough.. I'll make it 30 for next release.
