the ilist feature is really awesome, but i have noticed one or two interesting things. whenever i click a new song in the playlist and it starts playing, it flips through the entire list and recenters on the song. this is cool if the playlist is like 25 songs or so, but what about if its 1000? that brings me to my second point. when the playlist is on shuffle mode, and is 2000 songs long, and it jumps from song 5 to song 1928, the list keeps scrolling forever and ever. i am running a p4 1.6ghz with 512mb ram, and the scrolling is smooth, but i would guess that the ilist scrolls at a rate of about 40-50 songs per second, so going through a huge list like that can take a while. if course clicking at any point in the middle stops the scrolling which is nice (at least it doesnt become unresponsive) just an observation i had, any thoughts?

The ilist has a feature which detects how far it has to scroll to center to an item. In which case, if it's over 50 items, it first does a direct jump to 50 items away from the desired location, THEN scrolls it to the location (giving the impression of scrolling through it real fast). If the list is scrolling for over 3 seconds then there's definitely a bug in the code, and I'd like you to post your IL definition so I can test it myself.
In another note, if you don't wish the ilist to center on the new song when it changes, simply set "listfollowssong=false" in RR.INI

where would i find the IL definition you refer to exactly? and when you refer to the list recentering in the new song, let me just clarify that what i mean by that is that if im on track 14 in a 25 track playlist, and then jump to track 16 by clicking it, it cycles all the way down to 25 and then starts over at 1 and recenters on 16. is this intended behavior?

Any ideas on what the problem could be for me? I swear it picks everything but the last music I was listening to almost every time..

@tbird: post a zip of your RR.INI -- I'd bet it's something like hibernatereload=true in the INI
@hari-bhari: depending on the scroll position of the list, it is normal for it to roll over through the "farthest" way to center the new item. Typically if you're at a "roll point" of the list..

I have been using tjesh's HibernateMod3 posted here which has been working fine and just upgraded to Guinos new version. With the new version the playlist is empty, just shows "1." and Winamp doesn't start. If I start tjesh's version it all works fine again, same rr.ini etc. Tried resumecheck true and false, blown away rr.ini & setup a new one from scratch with basic settings & still the same.
Is anyone having the same problem or any ideas?
Cheers

that's not good to hear.. maybe there's something else in his code that I missed... perhaps tjesh can look/try it out ? (it's hard for me to test it when I never had this issue in first place).

Yeah, I can understand that. The strange thing is it works fine on my home pc, even a complete copy of the RoadRunner folder copied from the car to the home pc works fine, just not in the car

Not the same problem (no 1. in the empty playlist), but the playlist isn't reloading for me, too.
http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/road...questions.html
The ONRESUME command isn't triggered when resuming, so it seems that RoadRunner is still not recognizing that correctly . Any chance that tjesh will take a look at the code ?

Here's what happens for me...
1. Sometimes it will resume fine where it left off when hibernating.
2. Sometimes it will resume with no songs playing and the playlist empty with a "1" as the number of songs in the playlist.
3. Sometimes it will resume to totally different music that was played earlier in the day / week / etc.
This seems to all be random.. :S

i had this same problem with a laptop i'm using for my wife's carputer. my "tricked out" solution was to get an optical mouse i had laying around the house, attach a fan to the bottom of it so that the mouse would constantly move, and then use devcon to disable the mouse on resume and re-enable it on suspend. on resume, the mouse wiggles around on the screen for a second or two until the onresume command kicks in and disables it. it's an ugly hack but it works. i will give this hibernatereload=true option a try although i was always under the impression that this was a hardware related problem.

just to be sure.. you guys having trouble: You DID add resumecheck=true to RR.INI right ? cause the version in this thread did not require this as the latest release does.

Yep, thanks guino. Added the resumecheck line in, tried true and false, made up a completely new rr.ini still the same, RR starts but winamp does not, put tjesh's RoadRunner.exe back in with no other changes & it all starts working again. The strange thing is when I copy my whole RoadRunner folder to my home pc it all works fine, I am using Winamp 2.95 in the car & 5.5 on the home pc.
Thanks
