Is there a way to set winamp or rr to have auto volume? some of my mp3's from old cd's sound much lower than my new ones.
Suggestions?

Try the program MP3GAIN. It will set all of your Mp3's to the same volume. If you have a very large MP3 collection, it will take some time.

mp3gain is very good- I use it on a folder before I burn them to disk

but I seem to remember an old winamp plugin that did level sensing, exactly what boostedGT-S wanted however that was back in like version2 days, id look up the winamp site for plugins, perhaps its still about.
