RR and I-Bus version 2.0 beta
This is long overdue.. sorry its taken so long. I couldnt find the source for the 1st version.. so just re did another one. I have added hibernation to this one.. I have put a 5 sec delay when coming back out of hibernation, let me know if this is long enough
You can still alter the buttons at the bottom of the .ini file to what you want. I have preset them as following
[ID:STW_PREV_PRES]
MsgTemplate="5004683B080F"
Label="S. Wheel < Press"
Parse=True
KeyboardMap="RRPREV"
[ID:STW_NEXT_PRES]
MsgTemplate="5004683B0106"
Label="S. Wheel > Press"
Parse=True
KeyboardMap="RRNEXT"
[ID:STW_PLUS_PRES]
MsgTemplate="50046832111F"
Label="S. Wheel + Press"
Parse=True
KeyboardMap="VOL+"
[ID:STW_MINUS_PRES]
MsgTemplate="50046832101E"
Label="S. Wheel - Press"
Parse=True
KeyboardMap="VOL-"
[ID:STW_PHONE_PRES]
MsgTemplate="5004C83B8027"
Label="S. Wheel phone Press"
Parse=True
KeyboardMap="MUTE"
[ID:STW_RT_PRES]
MsgTemplate="5003C8019A"
Label="S. Wheel - Press"
Parse=True
KeyboardMap="PLAY"
The KeyboardMap=" change here " is the command you need to enter. So if you wanted to change the MUTE button, so when you press it, it takes you make to the main menu, then the RR code for this is "MAIN". Check out the Skin commands text file thats in your RR folder for more command.
have fun !

Hello,
Today I bought the same Interface as you have.
I downloaded and get 2 files. What to do with this 2 files. Is something to change in RR to run it?

I will try at the end of the week.
Do I need simply to run the .exe and it's ok or do I need to put the file somewhere in RR?

Would it be possible to have two commands for one button like:
command1 : press
command2 : press and hold for x seconds
or ist the st-wheel only build for one command?

First,
Hey CDRskull, I going to give this some play. I alredy have IBUMCOMM working well but I will give this a shot. I am speaking to frank who created ibuscomm because i noticed a problem with the hold events. it works with button 1-6 as far as I can tell but if I try to use the hold event for the right turn knob it sends both events, the button push and the button hold. For some reason the ReleaseID command dosent work on the knob controls and I get an error when loading ibuscomm. Not sure if you have this working in your version of the program but it would be nice to have the right knob as "PLAY" and the right knob hold as {ESC} or "MAIN"
This should be possible with the <> buttons on the obm and steering wheel since if you hold them theres another ibus message to fast foward and rewind insted of skip and back which is noramlly used to control the CD changer.

CDR - have this working in my car - worked first time around and its made a huge difference. thanks for posting this.
the only very minor crib is that (i think) sometimes it sends double events (so skips two songs, or moves the volume two steps) - but that is a very minor issue.

start-->run
regsvr32 mscomm32.ocx
if it comes up with an error saying can't find it, do a search on your PC, if you find it copy it to your system32 directory.
if the search doesn't find it download it from here

Run-time error 13 ibuscomm
I know what causes this error. I spent nearly 6 hours figuring it out - I even had to debug the application. Normally this is a mismatch between windows language settings. In this case, it is an extra LETTER in your ibuscomm.ini file. Check it and find the extra letter or character outside of the quotes. That or restore to another default ini file. That will fix the problem.
