Editing XM playlists in RR

I've been configuring RR for my carpc project, and most everything is working great now. I do have a small problem with support for my XM PCR, specifically dealing with channel playlists.

I have proven myself to be singularly thumb-fingered in trying to make/navigate channel playlists, and believe I have done enough damage without asking for someone to dust me off and send me back in the game. Before I hit the field again, I have a couple of questions I'm hoping someone can either answer or point me in the right direction of the answer:

1. Is it possible to reset all XM channel playlists and just start over (without uninstalling and then reinstalling RR)? If so, how?

2. Is it possible to directly edit the XM channel playsists for RR? Other than via the RR interface, I mean. Is there a text file that I can directly edit via keyboard? I looked for files obviously geared to XM, and didn't find anything that leaped out at me.

3. Finally, I have not yet been able to scroll through the entire list of channels. What appears to be the full list often ends up stopping around Channel 125 or so. I can get all the channels on the XM PCR application, but they won't all show up in RR. Is this a limitation of RR (like a max # of channels in a list or something)? Or is this indicative of a problem?

I've been reading, but haven't found anything directly on point.

Thanks for any help some kind soul can provide!

1-just delete the file xmfavs.ini in RR's folder
2-simply edit the xmfavs.ini file... the format is very simple and you'll figure it out by looking at it...
3-delete xmcache.ini and RR will reload the list of stations from the device.. you most likely have a damaged cache... you can also reload the channels using the reload button (the same button that is repeat/shuffle on the audio player)

Well, for some reason, RR is not re-creating either the xmcache.ini file or the xmfavs.ini file. It still tries to load all the channels, but seems to stop long before getting to the end of the list. I tried connecting my XMPCR unit to another USB port, but that doesn't seem to change anything. Now, within what RR loads, I can switch channels and they play just fine.

I decided to try to re-install RR, since I notice there was some changes for XMPCR operation in the latest version. However, the link is not working for the InstallShield version. If it's still down tomorrow, I'll try the binary version.

Thanks for the tips. This caused me to look more closely at some of the other .ini files and so forth, and think about how I might tweak them to make small modifications.

Woo-hoo! I think I fixed it!!

I never could get RR to re-load the xmcache.ini file directly from the XMPCR. I ended up copying the file from the RR binaries. It now shows me all the channels. I finally also got it in my head that the "1" at the top of the xmfavs.ini file is apparently important, and now I can edit the file and have RR show my channel playlist. And I can toggle between the two with the eyeball button!!

My god, I may just be able to bring this creature to life!

Guino, thanks for the help. I feel like you gave me the right direction to go, with enough rope to hang myself for a while so I'll get it right next time!!
