RR not showing my music after OS reinstall.
I just had to reinstall my car PC in order to get bluetooth GPRS internet working (turns out it doesn't work on Windows XP Media Center!). I copied the RR directory to my D drive, and copied it back after the reinstall. But now RR isn't showing any of my music. I checked the config and it's still showing the correct music directory and all my music is still there.
Any ideas? I'm stumped - I thought RR just listed the contents of the directory it was configured to use.

Yes I had. I think reinstalling somehow turned on the winamp library support. I now have my music collection listed but only after telling winamp to import my music directory into it's library. And I also have 3 new entries: Albums, Artists, Genres.

The other thing that was bizarrely wrong after the reinstall was that the font on my skin was not the one it should have been. That fixed itself about the same time as the music for no obvious reason - possibly as a result of switching to a different skin and back (not sure if that's when it fixed or if it had already fixed itself when I did that).

If you go into the winamp ml plugin folder and delete main.dat and main.idx, does your folder list appear propperly without the Artist/Genre/Album options ?
Also, the fonts used in many skins need to be installed manually and on some systems a restart is required so windows "loads" the font onto its database.. You'll most likely need the lcd font and arial narrow fonts.

May well be arial narrow. I'm definitely using an arial font in my skin but I can't remember which. I guess it got reinstalled by one of the other apps I was reloading onto my system.
