Gamma was working on my PC so I went to setup in the car. With the new RRCONFIG I get an error ONLY when trying to go into general settings. The following comes up COMCTL32.OCX is not registered or one of it's dependencies is missing.

All other setting options appear to be working fine.

Yup, I found this "dependancy" too. Issue confirmed.

Chuck: Yes, 9a was compiled in Vista.
Also I've checked the code and the spaces are not there... I think it's the way it is displayed here.

Re dependency, yes, the ocx needs to be registred or copied to the Road Runner directory. I just copied over the ocx from my desktop to my carpc. In the next BETA release I'll put it in the ZIP file.

I spend a lot of time for the indicators now, but it won´t work like I want. Something going wrong. Look at my skin.ini:

The LED.jpg is in the skin folder. Have I change something in my Skin.jpg.

The problem:

Press mute button -> mute is activated, no led
Press mute button -> mute is deactivated, led is on but when I get over another button -> no led
Press mute button -> same as second

the config looks nice..

havent tried it in the car with gps yet but all is working on the home pc

now rr is using gps cords for a few things now would it be wise to have the option for rr to conect to a port to get its own data. cus i dont run Freedrive all the time.. but i run a gps port splitter..
or, the option for run gps in the background when RR is loading??

anyways so far so good.. i will play some more

There seems to have bug that if you set max step to very small (something like 0.05%) and other setting are so that volume can reach 100% it will stay there for ever. If you think that's not your problem, post from your ini-file all the (speetatt***) lines which you have in use when this happend.

Then there was another bug in gain mode, which caused problems when volume was over 50%. When volume was changed manually, wrong value was stored as basevolume, so basically when playing over 50% volumes it always try to decrease volume.

And for those who use FD as gps-program and are also getting speed from FD, don't wonder if you get strange results with volume levels.. FD will send speed as mph or km/h and RR import it as knots, so speed has never been correct in RR if you get it from FD. That's not only related to speedvol stuff, but anywhere where you use speed, like labels.. Someone was few times ago wondering that why RR show different speed than FD, so here's the reason.

These are fixed now to next release.

And if someone don't know, to get get speed from FD add next line to FD's sdk.ini file (found in FD installation directory):

FDSPEED=RoadRunner

In RRconfig's GPS-section, set gps port to 0 (not in use) and if you are using Km/h as speed unit in FD, check "international standard units" checkbox, if using miles verify that it's not checked.

djmickyg: Yes, I personally suggest using a COM Port splitter and assigning a dedicated COM Port to RR.

Ti-ejtsch: you have the wrong idea... please look into how the skiining is supposed to work. Your on / off LED is to be part of you skin_on.jpg and skin_off.jpg. The coords identify the area of the jpeg.

I did use beta 10A yesterday and the transparent was still a problem on windows 2000 – beta 9a did not do this

Ti-ejtsch are you putting gpsvol and led.jpg inside the mute indicator – that might be the problem – I do not have it inside the mute indicator

IMG,XXX,XXX,XXX,XXX,"IMAGE.GIF|JPG|BMP",[LAYER]

The above tag defines a screen region to load a specific image onto. The fast resizing will likely reduce
the picture's quality so you should try to make a matched size image.
The Image can be GIF, JPG or BMP -- If a GIF is used, transparency can be used.
[LAYER] can be ON/OFF/DOWN/EMPTY/OUT (to specify which layer to load the image onto) -- Optional, deault=OUT.

Basically for those that don't quite understand what this release is... It's a BETA release. It's a pre-release... It's a "may work / may not work, please test".

Once everyone is happy with the functionality and that it works the way we want it to, this will become an official RR release. Why am I doing this?

a) It's open source
b) Guino is taking a little time out
c) People wanted the functionality I implemented so I went ahead and did it.

Ok - I did not know you added gps lock to the indicators – 10a was working in truck yesterday and today it was not, maybe I did not have a lock yet.

Also I tried to add indicators GIF with transparency and they would not work on 2k or xp

Ti-ejtsch - make shoe you have a lock on your GPS then try indicators
