CDrip Problem
I have searched and searched but still cannot find a solution to my problem. I followed the CDrip faq to make it work. Everything installs correctly but it still doesnt work. Im using the zots skin and when i hit the reload button, it doesn't do anything. Under cdrip.ini, the drive number is set to 1, and i've also tried all the drive numbers.
If anybody can help, I would appreciate it.

Check the following entry in the, ExecTBL.ini file for a proper path, etc.
/, Set Bellow the Path to the CDRip plugin (if used)
"CDRIP","PLUGIN;RRCDRip;C:\Program Files\Road Runner\CDRip\CDRip.exe"

Yes I checked the path in ExecTBL.ini and it's correct. I tried the plugin on its own without road runner running. it gives me an error saying I dont have a valid skin. But with Road Runner running and I diouble clikc the plugin in the folder, it goes directly to the cdrip skin, but it still doesnt work.

you probably don't have the skin inside the cdrip folder (that's why it doesn't run without RR)... now, if you see the cdrip skin with the empty list and the reload/rip buttons then the plugin is working, then if it doesn't see the CD with the tracks and such, it's because you don't have the ASPI support propperly installed -- this can be a ***** sometimes.. but if you want to verify your ASPI works, download audiocatalyst or audiograbber and see if the ASPI works in there -- I bet it wont.. you just have to download the right ASPI installer/update ..
Another possibility is that your CD drive number is wrong in the cdrip.ini.. if you have 2 drives or a virtual cd drive, that can very well be the case.

Ok I just downloaded audio grabber and it works fine in that program. maybe my settings in cdrip.ini are wrong. Heres what it looks like:
# Music Path where the files/folder are supposed to be saved to
# If Blank/Undefined, the application folder is used
musicpath=F:\CDRIP\
# Drive Number to use for ripping CDs
cddrive=1
# Skin Path (If running from within RR this is obtained automatically)
# If left blank, the subfolder "Skin\" under the application folder is used.
#skinpath=<PATH>
# Hide Mouse ?
hidemouse=true
# Use Genre Folder Structure ?
genrepath=true
# Use Artist Folder Structure ?
artistpath=true
# Use Album Folder Structure ?
albumpath=true
# Song's File Name Format (Use %title%, %artist%, %album%, %track%)
songformat=%title%
And this is what my cdripcls.ini file looks like:
[]
nOffsetStart=0
nOffsetEnd=0
nSpeed=32
nSpinUpTime=0
bJitterCorrection=1
bSwapLefRightChannel=0
nNumOverlapSectors=7
nNumReadSectors=26
nNumCompareSectors=1
nAspiTimeOut=3000
nAspiRetries=0
bEnableMultiRead=20876672
bMultiReadFirstOnly=0
nMultiReadCount=0
bLockDuringRead=1
DriveType=0
ReadMethod=0
SetSpeed=1
EnableMode=0
nDensity=0
Endian=1
bAtapi=1
bAspiPosting=0
nParanoiaMode=0
nRippingMode=0
[(1)]
nOffsetStart=0
nOffsetEnd=0
nSpeed=32
nSpinUpTime=0
bJitterCorrection=1
bSwapLefRightChannel=0
nNumOverlapSectors=7
nNumReadSectors=26
nNumCompareSectors=1
nAspiTimeOut=3000
nAspiRetries=0
bEnableMultiRead=20876672
bMultiReadFirstOnly=0
nMultiReadCount=0
bLockDuringRead=1
DriveType=0

nDensity=0
Endian=1
bAtapi=1
bAspiPosting=0
nParanoiaMode=0
nRippingMode=0
[CD-ROM]
nActive=0
nTransportLayer=0
Anybody know what im doing wrong?

it works fine with the ASPI mode ? (cause it would still work in ANALOG mode if ASPI is not working propperly), please verify.

please try cddrive=2 in cdrip.ini and see if it works.. your system is reporting multiple drives and both with very weird names..

sorry to hijack a little but, guino, where do you define the drive letter for DVD? I don't see it in RR.ini. Thanks.

There's no need for this setting since MPC auto-detects the DVD drive. The only CD Drive setting is on the CDRip..

I see.
The reason why I ask is I have several simulated "DVD drives" in my system using DeamonTools. Will MPC auto-detect that as well?
