Like most I like to have my music continue playing were I left it when I shut down the computer. As I had no end of trouble getting the resume music to work properly in road runner I decided to use the winamp resume which works fine.
The problem is I like to preset the volume low when I boot the system so that I dont get a heart attack at 8 in the morning from the previous nights loudness.
At the moment the volume is set start command. Problem is becuase winamp seems to load before the start command I get a quick blast of high level music before it drops to a more audable level (this sort of defeats the object).
So does anyone have any ideas on how I can achieve this? I have tried seting the volume in the ONSUSPEND and ONRESUME of the exectbl but this doesn't seem to do anything, I have looked into some software or code that will set the volume at startup but I cant find any that are free, and I am buggered if I am going pay $20 for some software that just changes my volume control?
